That is to say there are all kinds of values out there...
...and there are all kinds of understanding about what is to treasure and what is to trash.
I'm a magpie. How about you? Do you find that window beautiful and worthy of protecting behind bars? If the bars were there to just protect the window as a treasure and not what's behind the window, I mean...
A "shiny" that I, being a magpie, found on the street and took a snapshot of.
Just look at its environment! Iron bars, a stone wall, concrete...It's like a piece of a dungeon. Or not. I might have carried away.
The moment I saw that window, the appreciator of Rare in me was delighted. Somebody had the taste to put thick and colorful glass on a plain old window. You don't see glass like this a lot. Can I make such glass? No. So it's to be appreciated.
What use is it? Perhaps it lets less light but nice in color and it keeps a nice atmosphere to those dwelling beyond...or on the inside, actually.
Anyway. It's like a form of art. I buy art. Or decoration. Pretty things to have around to one's joy but not serving a whole lot in the eyes of a pragmatic person. They do bring their owners a sense of prestige, though. Prestige should come after you cover your bases, though. Despite what the popular behavior might be letting you believe.
Pragmatic Person likes tools. Me too. I buy tools. I am sometimes surprised by how cheap they are when compared to other stuff. You can buy tools with loose change. Screwdrivers, hammers, crowbars, handsaws, etc. Nails...
Lots of nails and tools out there. For now. Nobody take offense, please.
What's a rare and pretty tool but still useful?
Out of the things I bought last year in order to swap some cash for something small that might appreciate in value, there were two Victorinox knives. Twice as expensive as the previous time I were buying any of those but that was also a long time ago.
I felt compelled to buy as many as I could but I restrained myself. I did not have any available Swiss Army units to man the knives at that point in time.
Some people would go for coins. Precious metals. NFTs.
I like tools. I like making stuff.
Now, how about NFTs that are also useful tools?
What do you like buying in terms of physical not everyday stuff? Well, that question is perhaps too much. Just curious if you have thought in such categories and in you have any examples that you would like to share.
Do you at least consider what you are spending on and what will be an asset in the future?
