The current price of the ounce of silver is US$ 32.65. The ratio to gold is about 1:90. historically, this ratio has varied significantly, however, during the 20th century is has oscillated between 1:15 and 1:100. This means that a ratio of 1:50 is not unreasonable given that silver has many industrial applications and its demand is higher than the one of gold. If this is the case, an ounce of silver could be valued at US$ 60 and this would not be surprising.

Because of its performance, silver is certainly a diversified portfolio against economic uncertainty. However, whether to invest directly in physical silver, ETFs, or silver mining stocks, that still leaves me wondering.
The way the price of gold is moving makes it seem like a very profitable investment.
