Block Chains, they're an amazing adaption of technology and finance. If like me you have been watching from the start you would have been there when that one friend spoke about Bitcoin at .30c and you ignored it. Then in 2017 you probably put some money in and lost the lot. Lets be honest Crypto pre 2017 didn't have much going on for it.
You bought Bitcoin and that's all you did with it, it wasn't until after the rubble settled from the 2017 crash that things really started progressing and we saw Decentralised Finance make an appearance. But it wasn't until Compound and AAVE stepped up that we really saw things happen.
A New Iteration of Block Chain Technology
Decentralised Finance (De-Fi) is still the most popular use of Block chain technology as the push has been to replace traditional financial institutions and cut out middle men. However, 2021 and late 2019 saw a very new kind of adaption of Block Chains and that was in the gaming sector which is of no small market.
A recent report published by Stratis Platform which surveyed game developers in the US and UK identified that over 50% of developers are currently incorporating or looking at incorporating Block Chain technology into new and emerging games source
Block Chain technology included in gaming also adds a few extra abilities that current games can not do and that is the ability to mint, purchase, loot or trade digital assets which are often in the form of an Non-Fungible-Token (NFT). Imagine being able to take your items to other games... it could be a possibility in the future.
NFT Gaming is on the rise and we can expect to see more of it so with that, I wanted to introduce you to a game that I think will do well in 2022 as it hits a few really great sweet spots that many haven't been able to MuTerra.
What is MuTerra?

MuTerra is a Role Play Game (RPG) that will play out as a Trading Card Game (TCG) with collectibles based on a world that has mutated due to radiation leaking from the Earth's core. The radiation has caused plants and animals to mutate and humans to be pushed back to near extinction. In order to survive humans have had to capture and tame the Mutees which users will be able to breed and blend with other mutees to dominate the game source.
The RPG side of gaming will involve exploring the map to capture mutees, undertake raids and quests while the Trading Card Game (TCG) aspect which is managed through NFTs will be utilised for player vs environment/player battles. NFTs will be stored on WAX where they can be bred and blended to create new mutees and are fully transferable to the Hive Block chain for use source
The NFT art I have to admit is looking really good with the team not spearing any detail in the development of their world and players. Just by looking at the images I really want to go hunt my own MuTees and catch them all! HaHa! This kind of sounds like another game but with added features such as raids and PVP game play which is awesome!

Will Block Chain Gaming continue to rise in 2022
Since the emergence of NFTs we have seen an increase of NFT gaming as NFT's provide an opportunity to mint digital assets and confirm proof of ownership. Once a wallet is connected to a game server the block chain it is built on can confirm that the item is owned by the connected wallet.
A good example of NFT art in Block Chain gaming is the popular TCG game Splinterlands which is the current top Block Chain game which is also built on Hive Block Chain source
