I hold to the general vague opinion:
One of the advantages of the Cosmos ecosystem is that coins don't pursue exchange listings.
This keeps liquidity local within the web of app-chains. It allows the token to be distributed more heavily among current ecosystem users and rewards those that are already involved in building and contributing to the system. These users are more likely to be emotionally invested in the coins' success and to hold on to it.
It also avoids the general hype - pump - short - dump cycle that new coins tend to suffer at the mercy of exchange whales.
However it appears my fellow crypto enthusiasts hold to a different view.
Here's the token page of the Osmosis DEX this morning following the announcement that Binance will list the Osmosis cryptocurrency.
Osmosis up by 33% with a host of other coins in tow.
Binance already lists Cosmos (ATOM) and Secret (SCRT). But Osmosis is the main AMM Dex in the ecosystem so perhaps this listing will drag more external liquidity into play across the piste.
Or it could all go straight down again.
What do I know anyway?!
