So, I have a financial hobby built on the back of another hobby...I sell Magic: the Gathering cards on tcgplayer.com. Since I have been collecting cards since late 1993, and no longer have the time or wherewithal to play paper Magic, nor the group to play with, I have decided to unload the majority of my vast collection.
A very, very small amount of cards.
I have started slow, listing cheaper and more recent cards, and this seems to be working out well. I have 100% positive feedback with over 1000 sales spanning the past few years.
The ol' sort-n-sell box.
Now, however, as I work mostly for tokes(tips) in my profession as a table games dealer, the pinch of inflation is nipping at my way of life. With this in mind, I have decided to set a goal for myself, achievable nonetheless, of making 1000 USD in sales for the month of May.
Granted, this is not pure profit. There are various costs associated with this endeavor; postage, packaging, and time. This is not an issue, nor will it be factored in to the goal(only during tax time).
This is what I am looking at so far. 4 days in and almost 100 USD in sales. Looking forward to updating this with a future story of success.
