X (formerly known as Twitter) giveaways are a fun and popular way for brands/influencers to promote their products or services.

Beware the scams
If it seems to be too good to be true, then it usually is... In other words ... The same principle applies for entering giveaways.
Our tips at MMO:
- Don't click external links unless you are 100% sure they are legitimate.
- Never give out more personal information than is required.
- Stick to reputable brands and influencers to avoid scams. Do you use them etc?
So, are Twitter giveaways worth it?
We say yes!

Real Life Example 1 BitMEX!
BitMEX is a cryptocurrency exchange and derivative trading platform. It is owned and operated by HDR Global Trading Limited, which is registered in the Seychelles.
It was founded in 2014 by Arthur Hayes, Ben Delo, and Samuel Reed.
Being over 10 years old in the cryptoverse is pretty good going.

On Christmas Eve they had a simple giveaway on X.
The screenshot is shown below.
You can see the simple requirements were to like, retweet the tweet and tag 3 friends...
We told you it was easy and we chose 3 friends!
Great things is that one of the friends we tagged (@idksamad78699 on Hive) also won!
They announced the winners on this tweet on February 3rd.
True to their word they duly transferred 10 USDT.

Real Life Example 2 Hive Keychain / Arcade Colony!
Sometimes it pays to enter giveaways with a narrower audience than the whole cryptoverse.
So giveaways related to the HIVE blockchain provide a good example of this.
Hive @keychain had a Valentine's Giveaway to celebrate @arcadecolony joining the ecosystem.
We joined in the fun after being tagged by Hive user @lhes
Thank you @lhes who was also a winner!
They only required you to tag 1 friend, however in the spirit of love, 2 were tagged!
True to their word the results were announced on the 18th of February.
They asked to be DM'ed but as often is the case, if that account is not following you you can't DM them, so instead we put down our IGN (In Game Name).
The packs were sent.
