Scamming in the present day has come to be a normal thing and a frequent news item being heard, such that if one is scammed, the end product of it in people's minds is that it is his or her turn. Like, where did people's conscience go such that they tend to break into people's bans without having a remorse for even a second on what could have been the fate of the owner after this?
Many have committed suicide after all that they had was cunningly taken from them, and then, because they aren't any substitute or bargain of how life and survival would be after then, they decide to take their lives to come short of explanations to people and feelings of pain that might be associated with it. Every day, there are stories of people that are scammed of their earnings, if not all of them, and questions are asked about how it happened, and so listeners attribute it to the fact that the scammer was too loose to have his or her credentials taken and turn back for odd on him.
Also, there is still an understanding of the fact that software is being built by these scammers so as to make their scamming work and processes easy and free of early detection of those to be scammed. These programs, which are malicious most of the time, both the operator and the software itself, come in an alluring and mild way with every manner of authenticity, but thereafter the end process becomes a pitiful one. For me, I always ask, Do these scammers not take a second to have a redirection in their lives so that what is in their intentions to do, which is bad, would in one way touch them, so they refrain from such an act?
Seeing that scamming is progressively happening more often in diverse ways and manners in this very century, and at such a time like this, scamming also isn't ruled out even on hive, as one's earnings can also be wiped out if the necessary cautions and directions are not being followed so as to safe and redeem each account. A quite notable truth is that for a professional hacker and scammer, it Won't take the person 5 hours to wipe any hive account held captive in just a twinkling of an eye; the account must have started experiencing a massive deduction of worth and value. A fun fact is that scammers aren't known by their facade, as some are even cool and worth befriending, but what is on the inside is what makes the difference, as books are not meant to be judged by their covers.
The Hive Keys and their Safekeeping
A very nice question could have been patiently waiting to be discussed at the tail end of this post, but here it is.
From the onset of this topic, the sentence "Not my keys, Not my account" is the genesis of one safeguarding his or her account. Seeing that there are different keys one has related to each account, from these keys the account can be accessible. These keys are:
(a) Active Key
(b) Posting Key
(c) Owner's Key
(d) Recovery Password
Each of these keys has a function attached to it, and each of the functions is necessary for the functioning of the said hive account. Taking, for example, the posting key, which works on the everyday posting of articles and contents on different communities on hive, and the active key, which is the main and able key responsible for the transactional activities done in each of the accounts,
If, peradventure, a scammer lays hold of the active keys of any account, it should be kept in mind that the account is gone.
How to Keep Hive Keys Safe
Patiently waiting on this? Here is my take on keeping your hive account safe.
(a)
Avoid Phishing
Regularly and consistently inputting your hive keys on unauthorized web pages and sites rather than the normal gateway for hive puts one's account in danger, as the owners of these gateways or sites might decide to manipulate through them and have the account accessed.
(b)
Securely backup keys.
This is yet another proven way to keep an account safe. Seeing that there are different keys associated with an account, keeping those keys in an encrypted, offline, or USB way could provide the ultimate pattern and way to keep an account safe.
(c)
Screenshot Reveal
Ultimately, refrain from mistakenly revealing your hive account keys by means of a screenshot. Many, unknowingly, have mistakenly done so, and this has made their accounts accessible to scammers.
Creating a special email address or having a Google Drive account where important keys and passwords are sent and the access password is kept safe could be the Frontline of safety for a hive account.
Remember, not your keys, not your account; keep them safe.
Thanks for stopping by, friends; do have a nice day.
