Hello everyone
Today I wanna share the great mystery of RMS TITANIC which is very interesting and surprising too. I'm talking about 10th of April 1912, Titanic which was the worlds largest and most luxurious ship of its time sets out on her maiden voyage. The route of this ship was from Southampton, England to New York.

All kinds of people were sitting in this ship, from movie stars to immigrants going to America in search of a better life. The command of this ship was handled by the senior captain Edward J. Smith, he was 62 years old gentleman. All the passengers were very happy because this was the first time of their life they are traveling in the worlds largest ship. The length of the ship was 269 meters and its height was more than 50 meters.

At that time, it costs around $7.5 million to build, as compared to now it is equals to $400 million. The facilities and decoration inside the ship will surpass even a five-star hotel. The windows of the ship were sustained Glass, there were two Grand staircases, one heated swimming pool, Turkish bath, Electric bath, one Gym, one Squash court, 4 restaurants, a Library and etc.

The safety features which were used to build the Titanic, they claimed that it is unsinkable. White star line was the name of the company who made this great ship. The vice president of this company, Philip A.S Franklin, he said openly in the public that this ship is unsinkable.

On 12th of April 1912, after spending 2 days in the water, Titanic gets its first ice warning. After receiving the warning Titanic changed its directions two times in order to avoid the danger but it did not slow down its speed which was approximately about 21.5 knots that is equals to 40 km/h. Two days later, on 14th of April, seven more ice warnings were received but captain Smith and his team they ignored the warnings and did not slow down its speed.

At 11:39 on the night of April 14, the guy who was sitting on the crows nest (look out point) saw a big size of ice mountain in front of him, quickly he rangs the bell three times and informed the engine room to turn the ship left but unfortunately it was too late, just 1 minute later at 11:40, the ship crashes into an iceberg.

The front right side of the ship crashes into an iceberg, for about 10 seconds the ship was dragged along by the iceberg and a serious damage was made in the main body of the ship. Few seconds after collision, captain Smith and the architect of the ship Thomas Andrews they quickly came to see how much damage came to the ship, when they saw it, they realized that the ship will completely sink.

Captain Smith and all the crew members were very shocked then quickly he ordered to give a distress call on the radio so that if any other ship are near us they can come and save us. Fortunately, there was one ship RMS Carpathia that was 107 km far from the Titanic, it catches the radio signals from Titanic and after talking with one of the crew members of the Titanic, they decided to come and save them. RMS Carpathia was near them but if it comes on its top speed, it will take 3.5 hours to reach there.

Captain Smith quickly give orders to evacuate the passengers with the help of life boats, the ladies and children's were given first priority but there was a great panic made inside the ship, everyone wants to save their life's but the life boats were in a limited amount because they used to think that it is an unsinkable ship.

At 2:05 a.m. the last life boat was lowered into the water but the bad news was that there were 1500 passengers left on the Titanic. At 2:20 the ship broke into two pieces and then the whole ship slowly sank, it didn't even take 3 hours to sink this unsinkable ship.

RMS Carpathia reached there around 3:30 but it was too late, the remaining 1500 passengers they all drowned with the ship. Some of them who were good swimmers they jumped into the water but unfortunately they also died because of Hypothermia.
