I like to invest in crypto projects in their early stages. Especially if these projects have emerged within the Hive ecosystem, my motivation to invest increases. So far, I've had high yields from such projects. In this way, I can maintain my motivation toward crypto in these dark days of the bear market.
Hive Punks
I made my first serious Hive ecosystem investment by purchasing 100 Hive Punks last year. By chance, I got the rarest piece of the 10,000 Hive Punks NFT collection. (One of two mummies in the collection) I sold this NFT for 5000 Hive and 100 Splinterlands Beta Packs. I bought some other punks from the market with a part of the money I got. I turned the rest into cash to invest in new projects.
I've sold about 50 Hive Punks on the Hive Punks marketplace in the last 6 months. I'm in no rush to sell my remaining Hive Punks. I believe each of them has archaeological value. Being a punk produced in 2021 makes them special.
PsyberX
When I first encountered the @psyberX project, I was very excited. The atmosphere of cyberpunk, as a person who writes sci-fi stories and novels, greatly impressed me. I purchased 400,000 units of LVL in the early days to invest in PsyberX. Later, within the scope of the project, 50 commercial plots were put up for sale. I bought one of the commercial plots by paying 500.000 LVL.
On May 13, the PsyberX NFT marketplace opened. Thanks to the LVLs I bought in the early period and my commercial land, I had 17 crates. I opened the crates one by one with great excitement. I currently have 6 epic and 1 legendary NFT as well as many common and uncommon NFTs. I liked PsyberX NFTs both in terms of visuality and the ideas they contain. Moreover, rare NFTs are more likely to be found in crates obtained via airdrop than the crates purchased from the marketplace.
Two days ago, I bought 1 million units of LVL when I noticed that the LVL price had dropped to 0.001 Hive. In this way, I will be able to claim 5 airdrop crates every month. Each crate yields 5 NFTs. By the way, we will be able to see the map of the game on August 13. Just like May 13, I look forward to August 13 with great excitement.
PolyCub
One of the Hive projects that I invested in early on was PolyCub. I had witnessed the early days of another DEFI project before. So I knew that investors were able to generate huge returns in the early days. Moreover, PolyCub was not like the DEFI projects of our mothers and fathers :)
I got a pretty high return in the first 3 days of the PolyCub project. I sold the Polycubs I had earned because it seemed that the price could not stay at those levels.
I have had a complex relationship with the PolyCub token. With the help of luck and lots of calculations, I was able to buy and sell PolyCub at the right times. Last week I bought PolyCub for HODL. After a few days, the number of Polycubs produced per block will drop to 0.25. And Polycub produced per block in July will drop to 0.125. I hope that the decrease in the coin supply will reflect positively on the price.
Ragnarok
Duat tokens of the Ragnarok game were airdropped to Hive owners in the year's first quarter. During the airdrop, I claimed the same number of Duats since I had 11,300 Hive. Hive coins held on exchanges were not included in the airdrop. Some Duats were not necessarily claimed.
When it started trading on the Dlux exchange, the price of Duat stabilized at 0.01 Hive. So investors had valued Ragnarok as less than one percent of the Hive. I liked the visuals of the sample Ragnarok NFTs and had a chance to get a large amount of Duat by paying a few hundred Hive. I currently have 43k Duats and will get lots of Ragnarok NFTs in return. I am not sure whether my investment will be profitable or not. It's a fact that I love to buy NFTs.
Conclusion
Those who invest early in crypto projects often get the biggest returns. On the other hand, investing in a project in the early period requires assuming many risks. There is no guarantee that the project will be completed or become popular after completion. In communities like Hive, we have the important advantage of knowing the owners of the project beforehand. Moreover, projects benefit from community support as they add value to Hive.
I have been satisfied with the financial results I have achieved in the Hive Punks, PsyberX, and PolyCup projects that I have invested in early so far. I still own the tokens and NFTs of these projects, as each of them is under development. I believe these assets will become much more valuable over time. I will have to wait for a while to get the financial results for the Ragnarok game.
I owe my ability to invest in so many projects to selling some of the NFTs and tokens when the time comes. Thus, I create the financial resources to invest in new projects. Closely following the announcements and analyzing on-chain data also contribute to investment efficiency.
Thanks to the NFT, play-to-earn, and DEFI investments I made months ago, I was able to stay afloat during the bear season. Now I'm making preparations for the next 6-12 months.
Is it the right time to invest in Hive assets? In the past 1 month, I have bought 10k Hive, 9k PolyCub, 30k Duat, and 1 million LVL. I hope I chose the right time to invest :)
