The onboarding crusade continues the work! That's why I am called the onboarder.
Over dinner a few days ago, sensing that my friend is the type who is open to technology, I popped the pitch to convince him to sign up Hive!

That was the last 15 minutes of the dinner as I had to rush for another appointment. Few days later I noticed that he had signed up!
Mission accomplished.
It was basically the last 15 minutes that sealed it, and I hadn't mentioned about Hive before that though we spoke a lot about innovation and the future of the world.
I basically started by saying that he needs to document his life, and he can do it anonymously over the blockchain so that he gets a permanent record of it. He is the type who likes to look back and savour things, you see. So I know Hive is suitable for him.
In the last 15 minutes, I basically had to explain to him how rewarding in Hive works.
This is the gist:
One who has more skin in the game will have more clout to vote accordingly to bestow rewards in Hive to the author and to himself/herself.
There is no need for capital outlay to earn the rewards, so long as one writes good content, there will be income.
But if one wants to earn by voting for others, it's good to charge the account with some Hive token, as in a power up or staking.
These rewards are collected 7 days later.
Then I said bye after explaining these. Promising to send him link to my account to check it out, as well as point him to Ecency.
The rest is history!
Welcome, pal! Hopefully you too find Hive worthy and bring new Hivers into it.
