How is your finance after the holiday celebration?

There is this annoying attitude some not-so-smart younger and older generation do in my country, especially the younger generations which I call the hustle all year just to blow it up during the Christmas and New Year Celebration and I honestly think is not necessary, but just because they love and want to show off they dig themselves into a financial debt grave due to the lavish lifestyle they have lived during the holiday season celebration just so they can show to people that they have the money and influence that they do not have to impress people that might not even notice that you a dug yourself into financial debts and problems that they would answer for now.

Do not get me wrong I am not saying that celebrating the holidays and having a fun or good time is a bad thing because I had a lot of good times and fun during the holiday celebration but I did it within my means, I did not have to go overboard trying to impress someone or anybody who may or may not notice that you dug yourself into financial debt or problem just so you can impress them, because, after all, that show off during the holiday season, you and you alone will face the financial problem you got your into, in order to live above your means to appear to be something you are not.

Smart people invest and make a calculative financial decision first before spending lavishly, I have a friend who if for example he wants to spend $1000 or $100 or any amount at all he would have to invest an amoun worth half or a quarter of the money he wants to spend, which i thinks is a smart move, so that you are investing and having a good time at the same time, and you will not have to start life all other again or be in any financial debt after the whole holiday celebrations.
