Memecoins are all about the Hype, which makes them extremely volatile.
In my opinion, knowing when to sell is way more important than knowing when to buy, especially when it comes to meme coins, that the only thing backing it is the hype at that moment for members of the community which made it pump in the first place and since it does not have any utility at all that will sustain it and make it relevant for a long term, it is very dangerous to go all in with all your money, it is always advised to buy with an amount of money you can afford to lose when the meme coin goes south or against you, because meme coin can make extremely rich fast but at the same time it can send you back to square one as fast as it made you rich if you are unlucky to buy the top or held for too long.
If you hold meme coins without knowing when to sell, you will end up becoming a bag holder, Be proactive in the crypto market and always be ready for anything, especially when trading degen or meme coins. It is not all the coins that should be held long-term, for some of them you have to sell them when the hype is still strong to avoid people or other smart money crypto traders dumping them on you and using you as their exit liquidity, which is going to hurt like hell, holding meme coins for long-term does not often end well. So be smart when get involved with them, trade them with your eye open, and do not go all in on them, trade them caution and an amount you are willing to lose.
Where did the Pepe hype go?
About a week or two ago Pepe meme was taking the crypto market and space by storm and everyone wanted a piece of the action or coin in this case, as Pepe coin was pumping like hell and making people millionaires depending on the funds committed or invested into Pepe, I really pity anyone who held Pepe for this long expecting it to hit $0.1 as it was pumping hard and very fast because now it has and it is still crashing hard, it could be because of the Bitcoin dump or because the hype behind it has died because now I barely hear anything positive about Pepe anymore.
