Miami Mayor confirms he's continuing to take his salary in Bitcoin, Smart or Smart?
First of all, I want to clear the air that I am Highly doubtful that any United States governmental person or persons gets their salary in any other form but the dollar because of the fact that governments hate, fear, and are fighting Bitcoin and Crypto in general at every opportunity they get but still everyone is entitled to what they want right? and if he chooses to continue receiving his salary in Bitcoin then he should go ahead because in my opinion, it is a very smart idea, Bitcoin is a good store of value and crypto is the future of the financial system whether the government likes it or not.
Miami Mayor Francis Xavier Suarez has always loved Bitcoin and has always wanted Miami to be the crypto hub of the United States so I am not shocked or surprised to see that he wants to continue receiving his salary in Bitcoin. Him receiving his salary in Bitcoin is the same thing as him putting his wealth into 401k, stocks, and real estate. But Bitcoin is better and the best asset of the 21st century, while Crypto is the best asset class. He is going to retire a very happy and wealthy man, Bitcoin is the best retirement gift anyone can gift themselves.
I do not care what some people out there say because to me Bitcoin and Crypto are the ultimate hedge against fiat currency, they are not subject to inflation or devaluation if you live in my country you will understand me better, Banks holding debt issued when interest rates were lower have seen the value of those assets tumble. When customers panicked and started taking out their money, their balance sheets were not strong enough to withstand the moves. How many large United States have we seen recently crash due to lack of liquidity, Banks are now behaving like shitcoins and scam tokens crashing here and there with customer's funds.
