According to Galaxy Digital, the world’s 4 biggest banks will offer custody for digital assets. Bank NY Mellon, CitiGroup, JP Morgan Chase and StateStreet will be allowed to offer safekeeping of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets because a framework is being produced by the OCC, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.
Despite the fact that cryptocurrencies were not mentioned during President Trump’s inauguration speech, the regulatory work is ongoing behind the scenes. In which American banks are being prepared for this transition.
