Senator Mike Lee officially asked the question to visit Fort Knox. But the answer he got was quite clear. He can’t! When he asked why, they stated that it is a military installation and that is the reason why. Even though as a senator he has officially visited multiple military installations before.

Elon Musk saw the post of Mike Lee on X and found it quite peculiar that a representative from the people can’t go and check if the gold of the people is still there and in safe hands.

Elon Musk also discovered that the last audit of Fort Knox was in 1953, that is 72 years ago. And suggested to do a video walk through the bunkers of Fort Knox.

Officially Fort Knox holds 147,3 million ounces of gold in its bunkers. So, it would be amazing to see such a video walk happen.

Or, maybe the gold is gone, and that’s why Mike Lee isn’t granted access… Who knows…
