In this post I will show you how I am building and tracking my own hive investment portfolio - using both pools, staking aswell as HBD positions. Right now I am sitting comfortable at $4.21 daily income from my hive investments which yields almost 40% annually!
I keep getting amazed by the cool projects Hive has to offer! For example, yesterday I decided to purchase 2000 #DUO tokens - as I did love the whitepaper especially how they solve the question how to reward the owners fairly without deluting the rewardpool for the participants. Very curious how this project will develop and will probably place it in the spotlight soon to review my early experiences.
The table below shows how I organize my portfolio - in such a way that I know what each investment yields at any given time. Ofcourse this doesn't incorporate the additional benefits from being a community member but for simplicity I would just consider those as a bonus.
My strategy with projects that offer both a higher reward pool aswell as a staking option is to start in the pool and use the pool rewards to build a staking position. Especially when the staking rewards are not in the native currency for the project this is very appealing as you gradually reduce your risk from the project (for example #cent offers weekly payments of HBD for staked & delegated cent)
Spotlight
My top holdings sofar are within the cent project . Both #Trade aswell as #Cent are very appealing, both in terms of liquidity and APY aswell as the trackrecord of the leaders. Rather than hyping they choose to keep encouraging participants to assess the risks carefully.
looking forward
I am still building my portfolio - will be adding multiple additional projects (#BXT, #SPS ...) in the near future. So I will be both increasing my current positions aswell as expanding to other projects (open for suggestions!)
