Hi all,
Welcome to my last blog post of 2024.
Here I am going to evaluate my proces on creating a passive income machine within the hive ecosystem.
My Journey:
I started building on October 22th 2024, initially focussing on the HBD savings account - link to first post - my starting position was 3923 HBD and a daily passive income of $4.21.
Since then I brought in some funds (+/- EUR 8K) from my Cosmos wallet and entered some projects.
My main focus is on projects that suit my passive strategy - which means they offer rewards for keeping the position, staking it or using the position to provide liquidity in the pools.
I evaluate all projects (frequently) on how they perform against the lowest risk investment within Hive - the 15% APR that the HBD savings account has to offer. If a project offers a lower APR compared to HBD savings - there has to be a good additional reason to invest in (from the perspective of passive income) otherwise investing in the project would mean it is more risky but with lower rewards compared to just saving the funds in HBD.
Looking back - I found myself being a bit too active within my strategy. I reinvested the pool rewards multiple times a day (or using them in my #golemoverlord account). For 2025 this is something I want to adjust - being more steady with how to use the cashflow and more efficient with managing the portfolio.
My current portfolio:
Right now my hive portfolio is worth $25.5K and generates $20,23 a day.
It currently consists out of projects related to #cent project (cent, trade, tribe) , #leo, #duo #holozing and #creativecoin.
For now 39% of my positions is within liquidity pools, 61% comes from staked positions. Despite that the staking positions generally offer lower returns (and risks) compared to liquidity positions - I am happy with the current balance.
My goals for 2025
For 2025 I aim:
To increase the daily passive income to $50,- a day => + 250%. Increase my portfolio to $100k (no additional funding) => + 400%. Grow my HBD savings account to 25K. Manage my portfolio less frequently (1 x a week).
