Imagine a dystopian future. I'm sure we all do this every now and then. That what if scenario of what might be in the days after tomorrow. Whether it be on purpose or in a dream. Will this future involve Hive? Or cryptocurrency in general? Surely, decentralized technology will be a thing, right? Right? Maybe, who knows.
Let's fast-forward 50 years into the future. With some of my latent math skills I can determine that the year is 2073. Overpopulation has overflowed the globe, and many are actively migrating beyond the planet. This makes the need for decentralized technology even stronger. And so, slowly, but surely, blockchains and other relevant sciences took over infrastructures. Not by design per se, but by necessity.
Somehow, the Hive Blockchain has come to the forefront of the media space. Those we were early adopters of Hive, are now very powerful people. In a world where Hive Power determines what class you're in and your reputation determines credibility, you would be crazy to not have an account. The world is ironically centralized on a decentralized community.
Even though it's the future, the difference between the elite and the, well, less elite, is still there. It's just based on a different premise or perspective. This is just how human nature operates, as society advanced further technologically, but remained in its infant state spiritually.
But this doesn't go for everyone! Those who have remained off-grid from the mainstreams of the Meta robot's empire of the earlier years, have reached enlightenment, granting live to a second offshoot of humanity, where technology is a mere afterthought, a means to an end, instead of the ultimate controller.
While peace between these 2 main groups remains, tensions are surely there. But the world as a whole has evolved beyond physical warfare and everything is solved in complex mental and psychological systems. I'm sure the Hive blockchain plays a role in this as well.
Whatever the future may bring, there are currently many different new technologies rising that will be part of the shaping of society. It will be interesting to see the aftermath of it all, if we get the chance that is.
