A 22 Year Old Nigerian Was Hired To Be among The Board Of Jack Dorsey and Jay-Z Bitcoin Trust

Few months ago, Jack Dorsey and Jay-Z decided to open a bitcoin trust where bitcoin will be invested in Africa and other parts of the worlds like India etc. These funds are meant to be used to invest in talents in Africa and other countries. After Jack Dorsey made the announcement like 6 months ago, he created an avenue for lots of programmers to apply. Shocking to see a young Nigerian programmer and bitcoin contributor get selected out of more than 5,000 people who applied.

It will be interesting to know that this 22 year Nigerian programmer named Abubakar Nur Khalil was not the only Nigerian who got selected. Four people generally were selected for the Btrust(Bitcoin trust) three were Nigerians and one wasn’t Nigerian. The Nigerians are Abubakar Nur Khalil, Obi Nwosu, Ojoma Ochai and Carla Kirk-Cohen was the 4th Non Nigerian selected. Great to see the Nigerian youths adding great value to the bitcoin and crypto community. What a boss move that Jack Dorsey selected 3 Nigerians to be responsible for the Btrust after the president of Nigeria banned crypto in the country. These three Nigerians stay in Nigeria while Carla Kirk-Cohen stays in South Africa.

Jack Dorsey being a bitcoin Maximalist has always stated few times on how he wants to make bitcoin the internet money. So it’s no surprise that he called it the bitcoin trust, most donations will be received in bitcoin. But in light of processing the investment agenda, if organizations decline receiving their

When this project was announced months ago crypto billionaires like Justin Sun and CEO of Binance CZ decided to donate into the fund to help the project’s developments. Currently 500 Bitcoin has been set aside for the investment in Africa. 500 Bitcoin is worth roughly $25 Million.

Glad to see that Africa is being focused on because the continent needs a lot of damage control interms of leadership and economics. Delighted to see that these funds weren’t just donated to some leader, who will end up embezzling this money, as Jack Dorsey has promised that the utilization of the Bitcoin funds will be transparent.

Aside Jack Dorsey being a Bitcoin Maximalist, it’s nice to see that crypto and bitcoin is giving opportunities to people all over the world regardless of their location, age or experience. Proud of these Nigerians who are going to be working with Jack Dorsey on this Btrust project. Nigeria and Africa at large is filled with a lot of talented people who have potentials but unfortunately stuck in a country where the government doesn’t care about your potential.

Am so much happy and satisfied with this, despite the fact that Nigerians do not have some good names for themselves outside this country due to the ones with so much vices, we can still spot some industrious honest and talented ones like these who are making us real proud.

This shows that Crypto can contribute resolving age-bias. 22,14 or 75, no matter what age you are you can work if you have knowledge and enthusiastic!

That’s the most important influence crypto has

The cross-section of maximalism and inviting the world to become more involved with crypto.. what a fascinating industry we live in 🤣

Like you said, I'm also glad that people like Jack can still onboard new people - especially those in need - to Bitcoin and Crypto

His maximalist acts still has some good intentions 🤷🏾‍♂️

It's amazing to think that even after all the ban and restrictions levied on crypto by the Nigerian Government, the Nigerian youth still find a way to use cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology.

Love this article. Goes to show that there are talented and honest people here.

All the way, the talented ones will be granted opportunities just a matter of time
