Well Elon Musk finally acquired twitter, and people are having lots of opinion about it, especially towards crypto. Especially since we know that he claimed to be the dogefather. So expect more doge integration on twitter, remember jack Dorsey was all about bitcoin and twitter, now we are going to be seeing more of dogecoin and twitter. There is possibility that we will be seeing more of Binance since the CEO of Binance claimed that Binance contributed about $500 Million to help Elon Musk acquire twitter. Binance is also expected to use their Binance Smart chain to help combat twitter bot.
But does this means that we are going to have a fully decentralised twitter? Absolutely not, first of all, Elon Musk acquired twitter for the sum of $44 Billion, he is going to want to make his profit back. Second of all, he is expected to assume the CEO position soon as he has fired the previous CEO of twitter. So no, we are not going to be getting a decentralised twitter but may be a little bit more freedom of speech since he is looking forward to giving the users freedom of speech on twitter. But guess who doesn’t have to bother about freedom of speech and decentralisation? Me, because I am a Hive owner, there is no CEO and certainly no control over my account by any CEO. As a matter of fact, if you think you can’t always write voluminous post on Hive and you just want to express yourself, we have the leothreads for micro blogging which is highly decentralised.
As a matter of fact, there is an edit button on leothreads that lets you edit your post if you made a mistake, but twitterers users can’t. Its funny how everything Elon Musk claims to want from decentralised social media is on Hive but they choose to overlook Hive. No social media platform on earth is as decentralised as Hive, and this pose as a threat to them. Especially now we have the microblogging option through leothreads. I hope more people will utilise the leothreads option especially the crypto enthusiast on twitter. With leothreads, you can view your threads you have made and also edit them. We also have the first reply display under threads and also have the use of emojis on leothreads, microblogging has been made far easier for us.
Well, crypto is here to stay and so is Hive, we dont know where the space will be in 10 years time but I know it will definitely be amazing and I can’t wait to tell people about our humble beginning on this space. Its just a matter of time.
