Have you heard of the Linea airdrop, an airdrop supposed to be from consensys the company behind MetaMask. Some think this is going to be the biggest airdrop in airdrop history, and here I am thinking, will they live up to the hype? Let me explain my experience with Linea interaction, first of all, I started Linea testnet task, I can’t remember all the activities I did but they were all free so I didn’t feel like they owed me any amazing airdrop. But they launched mainnet and started mainnet tasks.

Linea mainnet task was really annoying because the gas fee was high, I could remember paying over $5 for gas fee to get transaction approved and it was annoying and a dilemma, because I had to ask myself sometimes, is this worth it? After doing the mainnet tasks, they brought layer 3 tasks too and that was another expensive task. It was already too late for me to back out, I have to finish what I have started and I have to do it to the end.
I did it to the end and we were given LXPs both for testnet and mainnet tasks. These LXPs can’t be transferred, we don’t know what role these LXPs play in the airdrop allocation. We already know that the supply is 10 Billion, but will the price be worth it? The pre market price is already $3 per Linea, I have over 4k LXP, will it be 1 LXP = 1 Linea?
