Have you seen some really wealthy people and be like, I wonder how you made your wealth? Did you make that legally or illegally, you hear some certain figures some people have in their possession, the money they spend on their lifestyle, the price of the car they ride and you can’t help but wonder, are these people making their money legally? Coming from a country known for their internet scam reputation, I will say I am not new to seeing a lot of people who you can obviously see that they can’t afford whatever exotic car they are driving drive exotic cars. Imagine a country with one of the highest unemployment rate in the world, with a very bad economy and known for having a reputation for internet fraud, have youths driving exotic cars. Nothing is adding up.

Don’t get me wrong they are people that have made a lot of money genuinely without going through the illegal or immoral means to make it, most times you can differentiate them from their personally and how less lavishly they spend it, but what’s the purpose of writing this content, I am writing this content because I want to ask, are some people judging people who attained their money immorally or illegally because they have what is called a moral luck? What is moral luck you may ask? Moral luck is the ability to do the usual moral acts because you haven’t been placed with the opportunity to do some immoral acts.
For instance everyone might know you to be a faithful person to your partner and you are faithful to your partner because you haven’t been faced with the opportunity of cheating on your partner to be the judge if you will cheat or not. What happens when you succumb and cheat? Same goes with trying to achieve financial freedom, some of these corrupt leaders or embezzlers embezzled because they were in the position and in the possession of the money, so it’s easier for them to embezzle. You can judge them because you are not in the position right now, what happens if you were to be in their position, would you embezzle? It’s easier to judge them from your point of view or position because you have the moral luck right now, some of us judging embezzlers might either embezzle or not when in position. So sometimes ask yourself, are you morally superior or you just have moral luck?
