Hey guys, hope you are doing great, I am here to tell you about my fuel experience. So I just got over $3k worth of fuel airdrop from fuel and I will say it’s one of the best experiences out there. I have spent months and days grinding on some crypto projects that ended up disappointing me. But I will tell you how I spent less than $200 to get over $3k airdrop. In 2023 I have been participating in the fuel testnet doing some transactions, but I didn’t take it so serious because the tasks were not a lot. They were just basic tasks like swapping and bridging.
The mainnet launched and they introduced the points program where you deposit assets on chain and earn points, I have never been a fan of such because it’s a whale’s game. So I skipped it, but if there is anything Arbitrum airdrop has taught me is that whenever any chain launches, bridge to that chain, sometimes there is a airdrop from bridgers, so I bridged ETH from mainnet to fuel. Few months ago I had the opportunity to mint a limited new eclipse NFT on the eclipse chain but I underestimated it and refused to mint, few weeks later the NFT pumped from $90 to $800 and holders of the NFT got over $300 worth of airdrop from the NFY collection. That motivation motivated me into minting the first OG NFT on fuel network.
The NFT cost about $30+ can’t remember, but I was thinking it would pull an eclipse NFT type of incentive. I noticed these NFTs were so ugly but we have seen lots of weird stuff pump in the crypto space. Shortly after another OG NFT on the network launched and all first OG NFT holders were white listed. I was white listed so I minted 2, more NFTs listed and I kept getting whitelisted so I minted an extra 3. Making my total fuel NFTs 6.
I was minting these NFTs because I was hoping they would pump and I will sell them. Few weeks later fuel announced its launch and it’s eligibility checker, I wasn’t being super hopeful because I didn’t really do much, but I was eligible for 80k fuel which at all time high was worth $16k but we couldn’t claim. But by the time I claimed it it was worth $3k+ so I sold it.
