I was watching a TikTok video and this college lady made a 30 seconds video of what she can buy with £40 and that motivated me to try out what I can buy with 50 HBD in my country Nigeria. Nigeria is a country with a depreciating currency, sadly, this is the reason its always advisable to try and earn in foreign currency so you can stay ahead inflation. For a while I haven’t gone for shopping at the supermarket because I have been so focused on my mobile phone screen or my laptop screen, but this time I decided to try something new for a change.
I have been on this nutrition dieting where I want to add more weight, so I need to eat more proteins because I lift so much at the gym. So I focused more on proteins and snacks. Well, it’s not like the store accepts HBD, so you need to convert HBD to Naira, to do that, you have to do the usual way of converting HBD to Hive first, then send it to Binance, Convert the Hive to BUSD or USDT, then sell for Naira on P2P.
I started my shopping with some Greek yogurts, I love taking parfait but got tired of always going to the store for some parfait. One of the key ingredients of parfait is Greek yogurt. I saw different brands of Greek yogurts but didn’t know which one to choose so I chose two brands of the Greek yogurts just incase. These yogourts cost me 3,799 Naira for the 1 Liter and 1,399 Naira for the 550 ML for each, but I got 2 which cost me 2,799 Naira for each. So the whole Greek Yogurts cost me 6,598 Naira. That is $9.4257
What is some parfait without some coconut chips in them, I love coconut and will love to have coconut flavor on everything. So I got some coconut chips, plain and chocolate flavored. They both cost 1,900 Naira, which is $2.714
I went to another snack section, and got to the Chin Chin section. Chin Chin is a known snack in Nigeria, I chose the chin chin with the coconut flavor. You should know by now that i love coconut flavor so much. I also got a coconut cinnamon balls snack, couldn’t get a picture with it. The coconut flavored chin chin cost me 1,000 Naira and the coconut ball cost me 1,000 Naira. So they both cost 2,000 Naira, that is approximately $2.857
I went to the bread spread section, I needed to get peanut butter for some smoothie and Nutella for bread spread. It cost me $6.5714 in total.
I also went to get some granola cereals, this was meant to be taken with the parfait and also taken with just milk, this way I take more carbs which will help me with my weight gain since I need to eat more. As you can see from the picture above, there are varieties of granola, this was my first time getting granola, so i decided to choose the tropical granola. This cost me 1,800 Naira, which is $2.5714.
I went to the milk section, got a skimmed milk and a full cream milk then also bought a soya milk. This cost me 4,700 Naira, which is $6.714.
I bought some other things like an oven cleaner, a surface cleaner and an insecticide to kill mosquitoes. This cost me 3,600 Naira, which is $5.142857. So in total I spent $35.9963.
This was the receipt of my purchase and these were all the things I could get with $36 HBD.
