Quiet luxury is known to be luxury that is hard to figure, only people that know, know, that is, if you know, you know. But over the years, people have always tried to figure the reason behind its over priced value. Imagine buying a purse for $5,000 that when kept side by side to an $85 purse you won’t be able to tell the difference. This is the reason I love watching those shows where they make you guess the cheap one from the expensive ones. Most times people fail it, they choose the expensive ones as the cheap one and the cheap one as the expensive one.

This is the reason people say that luxury items are just regular item that got branded with a luxury tag. Just get a random bag and stamp a luxury item logo on it and watch the price go 100X. Because, people are buying the luxury brand, not the item. Social media is making all these luxury companies improve their adverts, they are seen to be focused on creating ads that shows the effort put towards the making process of these items. We are in an age where machines help us do almost everything, for instance, art painters that used to be valued fr their work and skills can’t be appreciated like before. Why spend millions of dollars on a piece of art that a computer can generate in a second.
This is the reality of today’s product and technology, people are forgetting the value of products because they feel it is easy to make, so the best way to keep the products value is to remind them and show them how much effort gets invested into making them. So instead of luxury brands telling you to buy a brand, they show you how it is made so you can see the effort and the level of craftsmanship invested in it. They dont tell you, they show you. A typical fendi or gucci brand will try to shove the product on your face, telling you the price it is, but a quiet luxury company Loro Piana will show you how its being made, how quality and beautiful the craftsmanship is.
Most times they let you know that these products are so great and durable that they can outlive you, your children and grand children will inherit them. If you are buying them, just see yourself as someone who actually never own them but look after it for the next generation. For instance, buying a $50,000 watch, where it till you die, then gets inherited by your children, who then wear the watch till they die and they pass it on and it becomes some sort of family heirloom. In the next 50 to 100 years when they value it and try to sell, they see the price going for over $2 Million. That is why luxury is luxury, it is a high standard durable lifestyle that can serve as an investment and gives you class that makes you stand out and different from the rest.
