Hive Token $0.25 (Opportunity Knocking Or A Fools Errand)

in #hive-1679223 days ago

The last few days has been a traders delight. Multiple times the HIVE Token has touched on and even surpassed the fiat value of $0.40 USD per Hive Token. The dips were just as fascinating reaching to the low/mid $0.20's. Currently we are sitting somewhere around $0.25. I didn't catch all the spikes and dips but I did manage to catch one of them and turned a profit of roughly 1000 HIVE Tokens and 125* HBD. Regardless of that there is a little green monster on my shoulder telling me we are in for further dips; if you (I) held out a little longer even more HIVE profits would have been waiting. That little green monster has gotten me in trouble a time or two so profits were booked and turned into the Hive Token. As the saying goes a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush. So while I'm sure some are seeing this $0.25 USD price of HIVE as a minor set back, I see it as an opportunity to get more. With potential short term dips on the horizon is it a fools errand to dive in at the moment or should one jump at the opportunity to fill their bags. Ah, the delights of crypto investing; if only we had a crystal ball. It's likely that if the price proceeds to hang below $0.25 the rest of my HBD will be getting traded for HIVE. But that's the road I'm taking you'll have to weigh the pros and cons for yourself, nothing comes without risk.

It's times like this that I like to create a short but meaningful post to remind everyone to hedge those bets. Don't invest what you can't afford to lose. Research, research and when you are done researching do some more research. Then make your decision.

What's that pretty little thing you see above. Let your good pal @rentmoney tell you. That is the Buy and Sell Orders from the Hive Blockchains very own Market (We aren't talking TribalDex or Hive-Engine here even though both those DEX's are a great asset to the Hive Blockchian). Some or even most of you might of already known: the Hive Blockchain has its own internal Market. On the other hand I don't see many posting about it and it is tucked away within the Hive Wallet. For those who might not know, to get to the internal Hive Market simply go to your wallet section > Click the Drop Down Option Next To Your Hive or HBD > Click Market: after doing so a new window will pop up where you can trade your HIVE/HBD (No other Tokens can be traded on Hive's internal Market). Here is a direct URL Link to said Market: https://wallet.hive.blog/market Current 24hr trade volume stands at a respectable $100,000 USD.

What's your plan? You capitalizing on Spikes and Dips? Perhaps you are a holder and are sitting back and watching everything unfold as you continue to stay steadfast. Tell us all about it in the comment section.

I'm just staying back and trying to earn more, I don't think I will try to capitalize on this DIP to buy.

!BBH

Might be a wise move.

Further dips, a spike, anything is looking possible.

I had an itchy trade finger so traded the last of my HBD just moments ago.

@rentmoney! @tsnaks likes your content! so I just sent 1 BBH to your account on behalf of @tsnaks. (2/5)

I flipped HIVE and HBD... selling at .30, .35 and .40 I just bought 40 HBD worth at .25 I'm hoping it gets back to .20 so I can hit it hard

Nice, Hive just might be headed to 0.20, if so I still got some HBD to swap. Traded most my HBD back at 0.25/ Sold Hive at 0.38/0.40 range. Was hoping it kept yoyo'ing.

I put mine in HBD savings thinking about the intrest.. I wasn't expecting it to come back down this fast.. hopefully the bottom and the HBD withdrawal line up.. still got these sell orders of love to see filled..

Putting in savings is understandable. I suspect many did the same after profits during these recent spikes (I almost did the same). Nice trade orders, I suspect there's a chance they fill sooner than one might think. Lots of twitter talk that might move the needle. We just need to catch the low before the eventual rise/ the new found BTC wealth decides to park some of its profit in HIVE.

Hodling while loving that I am getting more HP with my rewards ... part of my plan has to do with long-term vs. short-term capital gains taxes here in the U.S., and so I do not tend to play short-term dips.

Hodling, a plan that is good as any.

The depth graph is always interesting to see. It shows how much support there is before Hive can go down. It doesn't look like it's on its way back to zero. It looks like it could actually take a swing up. We have no crystal ball and cannot tell, but the internal market in the wallet is the easiest way to trade Hive instead of just being a spectator.

I would have to agree with your assessment.

tribaldex and Hive-engine are the exact same thing.
the exact same DEX and it is more a CEX as there is no decentralization to it

The two projects pull from the same information source as far as tokens are considered but have plenty of differences. I call them Dex's as many do, mainly influenced by the word DEX being located in the TribalDex name.

they are both run by the Hive-engine team.
well just because it says it is a DEX does not mean it truly is a DEX.
TribalDex was to replace the hive-engine website.

both use the same side-chain. so both are the same.

There's more differences than you realize. I won't speak towards them all but one of the past differences that now have been changed is fees but both are equal in that regard at current time. Pools/ Leasing Hive, unless I'm overlooking something are a couple of the others.

both use the same side-chain. so both are the same.

That is what I was referring to when I said they pulled from the same information source.

they are run by the exact same team.
so they are basically the same.

I don't care if one has more features and less fees.
it is the SAME team! Same back-end infrastructure. Same company.
just a different skin.

they are run by the exact same team.
so they are basically the same.

Faulty logic. Your statements lead me to believe you don't know the history of how the two business models came to be as well as you think you do.

I don't care if one has more features and less fees.

I can assure you many others do as I am one of the many others. If you don't that is fine but you personally not caring about the different features doesn't mean they don't exist on one business model but do on the other, making them different. Pools/ Hive Leasing and fees are kinda important. For anyone reading this at current time the fees are currently equal at 0.75% per deposit/withdraw (Date is 12/20/2024). If your only task is trading a token, each model has the same capabilities in that regard and pull from the same information source while also giving a unique experience thanks to the different added features each model has.

it is the SAME team! Same back-end infrastructure. Same company.

Redundancy, see above counterpoint.

just a different skin.

Skins, not an identical carbon copy. I was around when Hive-Engine was built and when TribalDex was introduced. I'm aware of the history of both. Less aware of current on-goings. I see no reason for me to continue this debate. All my points have been stated, I feel no need to expand on any of them. I respect your point of view and regardless of what model you use, I wish you success with it.

yeah. I also was around that early on.
You are not listening to my point. You are just talking about the front-ends.
It is best to not continue as you don't listen you just try to state your point over and over.

Same company, same team, same CEX.

You are just talking about the front-ends.

Well yeah, thats the debate. You claimed they are "the same". I showed otherwise, front-end is one of the points to their differences. Capabilities and offerings are some others. You see I don't need to prove every aspect is different to show that the two models are different. I only need to point out some key elements which I have already did. You just seem to be stuck on "Same Company" "Same Owners".

Same company, same team, same CEX.

Redundancy and faulty logic but I'll expand again one more time. To whom owns/profits from each is irrelevant to the importance of the individual functionality and offerings each individual model has. Functionality is what the end-user is interested in. Pools/ Hive Delegations..... so many differences.

Now for the reason I decided to respond again, clarity. For those who might not know what a skin is as it pertains to such business models.

I've been in the back-end of more than a few skins (Forums/ Poker Clients/ Not HE or TD). Skins can have a standard set of functions, pull information from the same pool, share the same userbase but that don't mean they are identical copies/business models or "the same". With each different offering, each individual skin has it furthers separates itself from the original copy. Giving users a unique experience with functionality and on-site capabilities that can only be found on each individual skin. Which is what TribalDex and Hive-Engine do making them different. Skins that are "the same" mirror in all functional aspects aside from possibly how those functional aspects are presented. Such skins are commonly referred to as Carbon Copies.

I have been buying here and there since it started going down.

Nice, good luck with your strategy.

Thank you my man. I plan to some into leo, and change some to hbd.

Yep, I've been having fun swinging back and forth. The Koreans make this almost too easy. If most of the traffic comes from Upbit, you know it's a pump and dump, so just swing over and prepare for the dump to swing back.

I missed the first couple but did catch this last one.

Just waiting on the upside again.

It looks like prices will fall a bit more. If we do our trading gradually, we can make our next move more soundly. I think I can buy below $0.20

Looks like its fighting to stay close to $0.25.

Although Below $0.20 isn't impossible.
