What do you need to get started with Airdrop?
You will first need the web3 wallet that is partnered with Sonic, which is the Backpack Wallet, you can find it in the Extensions. Once added, you will need to follow the steps of creating a new wallet, saving the passphrase and setting a password, with that resolved you will go to your account and click on preferences, then you will activate Developer Mode, so that the testnet networks appear in the Backpack Wallet. With Developer Mode activated, you will add a new network and add the Sonic Origins Testnet, which is the Airdrop network.
Now you will need some tokens to make the event transactions on the testnet and for that you will go to the Sonic Odyssey Airdrop website and go to Faucet to get the 0.5 SOL of testnet to be able to make the transactions and the Task Center activities. Now you're ready to start collecting Airdrop points.
How to collect points for the airdrop (Task Center)
After you've set up your wallet and have enough gas, go to the Task Center, which is where you'll find the activities that will reward the Ring Mystery Boxes. The first and simplest activity is the Daily Check-In, just go once a day and click on Claim, you will spend some Sol that you got from the Faucet to earn Ring Mystery Boxes.
Some observations, the more consecutive days you log in to do the daily check-in, the more Mystery Boxes you will earn and consequently more Rings, which is the item that counts towards the airdrop. In addition, for those who use the Backpack wallet, there is a type of bonus, which I believe gives you +1 Mystery Box in the Claim.
You also have other tabs like the Mystery NFT, which allows you to mint the Sonic Odyssey Pass, which is an unlimited NFT for everyone who participates in the Airdrop. The item description says that it has a significant value, but since it has an infinite mint I think it is very unlikely that it will have any value. After all, the greater the supply, and in this case without demand, the value tends to be low./p>
TX Milestone rewards users the more transactions they make. By completing tasks or interacting on the blockchain, you accumulate points and the more transactions you make, the more Ring Mystery Boxes you will earn, up to a total of 7 boxes with 100 transactions. The strange thing is that this didn't count here, but since it's a testnet, it's normal to have bugs.
There are some games that you can play that work within the blockchain, you can check the rules of each one and see how the rewards work for each one. I tested one of these games and a message appears saying that something went wrong to try again later, so the best thing to do is to do the other activities that are simpler and faster and hope that these games work later over time.
