In a series of posts, @taskmaster4450 talked about the possibility of replacing Twitter with Hive. In these posts, the functionality of #threads in Leofinance was discussed well and in detail, and a lot of feedback was expressed below it.
Basically, I want to know why you should compare Hive and Twitter? Why should one seek to replace or surpass another? Are these two worlds comparable? And some other questions...
Comparing two different worlds
When I looked at these posts and feedbacks, I realized that we are basically facing two different worlds, and of course, the people on these platforms, while having similarities, also pursue different goals.
First, as @taskmaster4450 rightly stated, we're dealing with two databases, one is "monitored" and "censored" and the other is "decentralized" on a blockchain.
Twitter and of course the tweets made on it are under the policies adopted by individuals, institutions and government policies, while when we talk about blockchain, we can say that we're dealing with a word called "consensus".
Accordingly, we have two different worlds. One is based on the real world created by institutions and companies, and of course, it goes according to their policies, and on the other hand, the blockchain is based on mass consensus and its arrowhead is against Twitter or the world of institutions.
The question isn't , Can Hive replace Twitter? Rather, the question is, Can all the needs be provided in a decentralized manner on the blockchain platform ? Is it possible to create a decentralized Twitter that is in the hands of the masses?

What is the goal?
I want to have a Twitter on the blockchain. The programmer implements it and provides us with the front end. Programmers accept the challenge and complexity of implementation. I, the user, don't want to get involved in these complexities at all. I just want to experience being uncensored and decentralized. I want to see all the features of twitter or more in Hive!
So if we have such a goal, it doesn't matter if we want to be Twitter, but we want to be better than it. It doesn't matter if the companies are members or not! The likes of Twitter have failed against blockchain!
Do you need the presence of institutions or large advertising companies?
No, they have failed and have only two options: accept blockchain or target and destroy it
So why measure your currencies in dollars?
No matter. It expresses the real value of currencies. What matters is what is valuable. If the dollar is valuable to you, then you'll try to earn it because you want to spend your cryptocurrency to pay for your daily expenses, but if you value Hive, the situation is completely different. You pay real dollars to get Hive. The hive is more valuable to you and you try to make it more and more! It's important which glasses you wear.
summary
Maybe the content was expressed in a short and quick way, but in short, the goal should be done in two steps. The first step is to migrate all existing contracts to smart and blockchain contracts. The second step is to upgrade capabilities. The migration of people will be done gradually. Capabilities are what attract people with different attitudes. Maybe one comes with the goal of making money, and the other comes to protect privacy or to operate in a decentralized, uncensored system with another goal...
Institutions and people like "Elon Musk" work to fill their pockets and achieve their own goals, but the masses are trying to free themselves from the shackles of the world made by these people.
