Hivestats Analysis Optimization for ryosai

Account Overview

This account has been pretty active this year, but I have made some changes to my curation strategy recently that need to be addressed.

After recently delegating a significant percentage of my HP to receive rewards from dcity I have been noticing a need for analysis and reoptimization of my curation trail and Fanbase that support my favorite communities.

Curation APR of 6.79% isn't bad but I need to know more to really understand why it is so low.

Before we dive that deep, I should also discuss the reason for the change as well.

Did you know that you can delegate HP to @dcityrewards to receive a daily passive Young Citizen NFT Airdropped to your account?

Welcome to dCity!

Here, you can build your own city on the Hive blockchain and be the master of your own kingdom.
dCity is a city simulator game based on Hive-Engine Non-Fungible Tokens. The NFTs represent assets in the game. Each individual card is a building, citizen, etc., and the total collection of your cards is your city. dCity allow players to optimize their cities in terms of buildings, population and income.
The aim of the game is to buy new buildings, but also use diplomacy and tact with fellow players to achieve the materials you need to grow and prosper. Obviously, there are several ways you can approach this, but we'll let you learn them on your own and test them out.
This is a numbers game, but with the added randomness of society. There will be events which can have either a positive or negative impact on your city, depending on how your city is built. Choose wisely when helping or refusing to help another player. They might need your help today, but you never know when you might need their help in the future. - dcity.io

The one and only @dcitygame can be played by anyone with a hive account at www.dcity.io

So, what's the value of Young Citizens?

In dcity all citizens have a lifecycle and grow starting with Young Citizens which are minted through delegation and daily claims in the dcity discord.

Young Citizens trade between the bid of 706 and 950 usually but the current low ask is 850 with the last trading price of 899 SIM.

It is also possible to mint Students directly when you are a member of the SIM Club.

Students are actually the next step in the growth of Young Citizens and Students will then advance into their next stage of development which is Student(debt) or Student(old) and then Student (debt)(old).

These Student NFTs with (debt) can be trained by paying off their accumulated debt which is about 300 SIM per student at the moment, but this cost is set to continue increasing regularly.

I am playing a strategy of the game called Student Training which has the potential to produce many NFT citizens but specifically the Tax Collector with 150 times the value of Students alone.

Most of the citizens being minted are slightly more valuable to double the value of Students.

Back to the Analysis

Curation is earning slightly more than $.01 per day so that is really cool considering that most of my curation is automated in support of my favorite communities.

I shifted my delegation back when I noticed that I could passively mint citizens worth about $.04 in dcity.

These citizens produce an income in the SIM token which has a HIVE rewards pool as well so it's all full circle.

While I truly enjoy getting on here to curate manually, leaving my trail HP at 95% ensures that my automated vote isn't being abused.

I feel like I can do better in terms of managing my time and assets to improve the curation APR because 6.79% just seems low.

Let's take a look at some of the votes that may be causing some trouble here.

Based on my analysis I was able to determine that votes weighted at 23% were yielding less than optimal results in their efficiency.

I also noticed that overall, the 25% weighted vote was performing almost as well as my full weighted vote in some cases.

I went ahead and changed all my low voting weights to 25% fixed.

This isn't a hopeful change but based on evidence of the results from other 25% weighted votes.

This was a pretty easy analysis and necessary optimization to change in hive.vote and increase my position here while supporting my favorite communities and their content.

If you made it this far, I just want to say thanks for reading along and I hope you enjoyed the content.

I hope that by sharing some of my process it helps others learn and grow as well.

Always blessed to be able to learn!
