DePIN On The Go
I have addressed numerous DePIN applications in recent writings. Many of these projects are Solana and Peaq-based bandwidth-sharing and AI models similar to Grass. As a result, many browser extensions run in the background once installed. However, many are looking for mobile alternatives. Downloading a few dApps on your mobile is a great way to generate passive income.
This is especially true as mobile devices are generally operational 24/7 while many laptops and PCs spend only a few hours daily online. The first project is a Solana-based project that I have addressed before. However, there is also a mobile application and not just a browser version in the form of an extension. I also recently downloaded the dApp and am running it in conjunction with the browser extension.
Nodepay
Nodepay is one of my favorite Solana DePIN projects and even though I missed the initial season I am currently hitting it hard in Season 2. I only managed to join Nodepay during the final stages of Season 1. However, Season 2 is looking good so far. Gradient Network and Nodepay are my primary focus on Solana. For those wanting a mobile alternative, Nodepay is a good option.
Many missions, rewards, medals, and boosts are available for node operators. Upon visiting the official Nodepay X account today I noticed that there are now 1.1 million followers, which is pretty impressive. The airdrop checker for Season 0 and Season 1 is live. I eagerly await the Season 2 airdrop, as airdrop intervals appear significantly shorter than Grass.
DeNet Watcher Node
DeNet is a storage application built on Peaq that allows users to become node operators on mobile devices. However, the node must be launched every 6 hours to gain the maximum rewards. This is a great mobile alternative that offers increased earnings as users journey from Stage 1 to Stage 30. Node operators earn WN tokens, which will later be converted to DeNet tokens.
Additional airdrops and opportunities to earn PEAQ tokens along the way incentivize operators to keep upgrading their nodes. Watcher Nodes are upgraded by purchasing higher stages with WN tokens. Regular readers will know that I am bullish on anything built on Peaq, which brings me to the next dApp which is also built on Peaq and available on mobiles.
Silencio
I first introduced readers to Silencio in May. The application has since been upgraded and is more sleek and elegant than it was when I published the initial article. Unlike many other DePIN applications, Silencio is exclusively a mobile application with its primary purpose being the mapping of noise pollution. This type of data is more valuable than many may think as it can play a crucial role in important decision-making.
For example, a family looking to purchase a new home can utilize Silencio to analyze the noise levels of various neighborhoods. The same idea can be applied to a traveling businessman looking for a B&B in a quiet area. There are multiple scenarios where having access to such data is incredibly valuable and beneficial. This dApp is however not entirely passive. Noise measurements are recorded in 30-minute intervals and must be initiated. Download Silencio with the code: CoinCollector.
Final Thoughts
A few noteworthy mentions are Hyra AI, a DePIN focused on training AI models, and UpRock, a bandwidth-sharing mobile application. UpRock’s UPT can be withdrawn and traded on Jupiter. The nice thing about both of these applications is they can be downloaded on multiple devices. I run Hyra AI on 5 devices and Uprock on 3 devices. All the best, have fun DePIN mining and I will see you next time!
