Afternoon everyone…..
I know that Christmas is over and we are already in the new year. But isn’t after Christmas the best time to score cool Christmas stuff for next year?
The piece that I will be sharing with you today, I’ve literally been watching and had it saved in my favorites on eBay since early October.
The seller started this piece as an auction item at $54.99 starting bid, or a $75 buy it now price. Yep, he was in complete dreamland…..
At the beginning when it wasn’t selling as an auction. He would lower the starting bid by a whopping $2, keeping the buy it now price the same.
Weeks went by and he was all the way down to a starting bid of $44.99, but still the buy it now price of $75. Still no takers.
Two weeks prior to Christmas he lowered the starting bid down to $40 even, but now added a shipping cost of $3.99 to the listing. Trying to be a wise guy….
Once again it didn’t sell and he relisted it at the same price. During the auction being live, I messaged him offering $36 including shipping. He replied back, that he wanted to see how the auction did. But thank you for my interest.
The auction closed out on Friday December 23rd, so anyone interested in gifting this round would not be interested any longer.
The day after Christmas I was sent and offer from this seller for $38 free shipping. I declined the offer, and sent him a message once again for $36 including shipping.
He agreed and I now have this cool vintage silver Christmas round. It’s a lot more than I’m usually willing to spend on and vintage round of any kind. But my girlfriend loved the round and said it would look great on the tree. So after a little wheeling and dealing, I got the round…
I did a little research on this round. It was produced by the Silvertowne Mint. That probably explains why the round is so nice for a 16 year old round.
Now the moment you’ve all been waiting for……
