Today is going to be 82 degrees, and the next two days are warmer. Nice
I received my background approval via email Monday to pick up my new gun. New Jersey is a very tough state to by guns in. Every single time you want to purchase a handgun, you must apply for a permit which is $50. Then once you are approved for the permit which requires them to do a background check for. You still need to have a background check before they release the gun to you. There is also a NICS approval.
Aside from buying the handgun it costs an additional $100 in fees every time.
***As I digress….
I am a member at RSTP Forearms, that is who I purchased my gun from. They have quite a selection.
The handgun I chose was a Canik TP9 Combat Elite. This is a handgun used by many competition shooters. That is not why I bought it. I have no desire to compete. But it does tell you why I bought it.
Enough on that…
Here is the handgun.
Daughter update…
She saw the oncologist yesterday afternoon. In reading the pathology report, the doctor believes it is contained to the immediate area. She does want to run more tests to be sure. Unfortunately because she just had the surgery taking her thyroid out. The tissue around the entire area is still swollen making those tests impossible for the moment.
She is going for bloodwork next week. But doesn’t see the oncologist for six weeks. She wants to make sure that all the swelling of the tissue subsides first.
If there is no other spots, the treatment is most likely going to be radioactive iodine treatment. But we will get more information then.
