Long Term Tailwinds Will Drive Solar Power Growth
Using the bear market to our advantage a new investor in Solar energy through a basic ETF is an easy double from here.
The developed world wants to end their dependence on fossil fuel based energy. A major solution is to rapidly grow solar panel installations. China may be using an increasing amount of fossil fuels to fuel their economic growth but they are also rapidly expanding solar power. China is expected to add 90,000 MW of new solar generation capacity in the next year. Japan is looking to grow their solar generation from 70,000 MW to 100,000 MW by 2030.
Invesco Solar Fund (TAN) provides investors with exposure to the fast growing solar power markets.
TAN traded as high as $295 during the last oil shock in 2008. At the current price of $75 the fund price will double to just get back to the highs of 2021.
Bear markets are the time to buy right. TAN could be a great long term investment.
