I've been on Hive for a couple of months now, and I keep learning daily. I, however, haven't made up to three posts in this community because I'm a rookie in the world of finance. And so I've always thought I didn't have any content that would fit here.
Now, I've decided it's about time I explore this community and learn as much as I can. I hope to learn about managing finances, growing your wallet, trading in cryptocurrencies, learning to save money properly, learning to invest, and everything else that I can get my hands on. There are so many experienced people here, and I know I'm going to learn so much by following and asking questions.
The first time I heard something about crypto, it was on Bitcoin. But that's it; I didn't probe into it. I figured it was something complicated that didn't have anything to do with me.
Sometime last year, there was a seminar held by my department talking about blockchain. I was there because I was, in a way, part of the organizers of the program. That was the first time I actually sat down to listen to what crypto was about. And even though it was still confusing, it seemed exciting. The facilitator mentioned terms like smart contracts, proposals, wallets, airdrops, and many others, and I told myself I would do a bit more research later, which I never did.
During that seminar, they gave some students the opportunity to make submissions on what blockchain is. I remember I saw @zzzinnn leading a group to make a presentation. He mentioned it's a decentralized system, but he didn't have enough time to make his entire presentation. I thought it would be a good idea to learn from him, but I didn't bother asking, mainly because we'd never had a conversation.
Some months later, he mentioned Hive, a platform to learn from people with similar interests as you and share your skills and experiences as well. He helped me set up my account, guided me to write my introductory post, and gave me a lot of education on the dos and don'ts of the platform, such as plagiarism.
He mentioned some communities that I should explore, and Leofinance was one of them. But, like I said, I didn't think I had anything to say here.
After a few months on Hive, I figured this was a chance for me to gain that financial knowledge I lacked, and what better place than the Leofinance community?
In general, I would like to learn how to manage my finances, invest and grow it. I also hope to expand my knowledge in crypto and the blockchain.
