Well today is the day. The day the first battle wagons come in and the first air drop card gets locked in by players for taking part in it. Some general details about it are for every 200 chances you are for sure getting one NFT card. For myself I ended up with a little over 80 chances which I hope turns into something.
This airdrop is much different compared to previous ones. For this one there's a new system called battle wagons which cost vouchers or DEC to get. Each battle wagon can have up to 100 rebellion packs stacked on it worth 100 points each and 5 cards. Now the big plus here is you can combine cards to level them up and doing so will result in a more powerful mining rate.
So how did this airdrop go and what did I learn?
First the expenses...
I have a total of 6 battle wagons which cost me 50 vouchers each so 300 total vouchers. These didn't cost me anything as they were dropped from staking SPS however on the open market they run around $0.035 each so roughly $1.75 per battle wagon. That means my real expense is $10.50 per wagon far cheaper then if you would use DEC. I wouldn't count the packs as being an expense as they where packs I wanted anyways. So with that being said let's take a look at the operation.
First things First I was able to lock in 86 chances which I'll admit is low and I for sure could have pushed that a lot higher with some dedication and work to it. Mainly my DEC has however been still going into land as I want to get at least 100 of my plots fully operational which is a massive up front investment.
These 86 chances then goes into a possible new sink to double the chances from 2% to 4% for a gold foil card.
This was something I opted out of as 20 vouchers to me seemed high. However I'll be curious to see how many people end up doing this and how many vouchers it ends up burning.
The results are a total of... 1 card lol
Worth on the market somewhere around $15 - $20.
Now it is a legendary card so I mean you can't really go wrong with that and being that I spent just a little over $10 for battle wagons it means I'm already profitable.
The other plus is these battle wagons now stay with me for the entire about year for ALL future air drops. Thus of course the sooner you get in and start generating those points the better.
As you can see here the troops are already collecting points for the next airdrop card. So what are you waiting for pick yourself up some Splinterlands Rebellion packs and start loading up your own battle wagons for some airdrop cards to power you through land, battles and more!
