The last few days should be a wake up call for all involved in Leofinance. We like to talk about Leo pride and community but the reality is something different.
Many did step up with their votes. However, a lot more goes into this than simply showing up and chatting on threads. We need people to take things by the reins. This is a game of influence and Leo needs to approach it as such.
How does this transpire? What is the path that is required to grow things?
In this article we are going to spell some things out.
What Are You Building?
This is a key question?
If you are not building on Leo, that is part of the problem. People like to point the finger elsewhere but we simply have not brought value to the platform. This can naturally can come in many forms but the bottom line is we need builders.
This is not a novel concept. I, along with others, have written and spoke about this for months. Yet, the question remains the same: what are you building?
How often has we discussed databases? This is something simple that anyone can do. Again, how many are doing it? I know of one other who is putting something together.
Ultimately, the key for Leo's future is to bring money into the system. Here we see a variety of paths will have to be pursued. Nevertheless, at the core of it is the business mindset. Those who look to build will increase the value.
This could end up helping the price of $LEO and/or bring money in directly. The anticipated ad revenue project will aid in this effort. We also discussed the idea of using Leo as a database due to this concept. Ad revenue could help to finance the operation. It will help to bring money into $LEO, helping with the price.
What happens if the price of $LEO takes off? How would that affect the ability to exert influence.
Stackin
Are you stackin'?
This is another crucial question. We need to focus upon not only Leo Power but Hive Power also. It is easy to sell everything that comes in. However, we know there are reasons for accumulating and more than just speculation.
We are talking about growing the influence of the community. To do this, we need to get people with the diamond hand mindset.
The question is can we count on the numbers? Or is it only going to fall to a few? History shows that it is usually a small handful of people who do most of the lifting.
Pageviews
As stated in the past, we are now in the world of pageviews. Each one is crucial. We see what can be generated on the likes of Twitter (sorry X) and YouTube. If Leo can grab the smallest of fractions of that, it will be enormous.
So how do we do this? It is a bunch of small actions repeated.
For example, how many Tweet each day? Do you start Tweets on Twitter? Why not start them on threads and then use the "tweet" button? Do that a couple times a day and you might end up getting a few more pageviews, both from within threads and on the link posted to Twitter.
Is this the end all? No. But it could generate 10 or 15 more pageviews for really no extra effort.
Another tactic is to click on a thread before commenting. Do not comment from the main feed but from the thread itself. Also, if you see other comments in the thread, click on them, even if not answering. To get another 5 or 10 pageviews is not really difficult.
Have you seen the insight accounts. These are different news items that are posted. Here is another opportunity.
Here is one that I went through quickly. Notice how there are 13 pageviews. Again, is this the end all? Not, but 10-12 pageviews per could really add up. What if 4or 5 people did the same thing? A single insight post could end up with 50 pageviews.
The bottom line is that, if you aren't building something, the pageviews have to be racked up. This means doing a lot of simple things that adds to the total.
At this level, the entire community is needed. It is impossible for 1 or 2 people to make a difference.
Elon Musk is pushing for the same on Twitter. He understands the importance of pageviews. The platform is even starting some payouts to those who generate a large number of pageviews.
For things to grow, we need bigger numbers. Sure, we all want more users to quickly join. It would be great if the rest of Hive would participate. For now, that isn't happening.
That means we need to start the process ourselves. Numbers tell the entire story. If we keep improving them, that is something to promote.
At the same time, think of ways to start building. With communities, the possibilities are unlimited.
