Music Party Starting To Generate Some Significant Page Views

Innovation always rules supreme.

When it comes to LEO, we have a digital platform that allows people to build. As stated in our last article, the Leo Formula is very powerful.

Now we have an example of someone putting something together that takes things to another level.

Music Leading To Page Views

There was a community member who decided to take some of the concepts of Music on Leo and "throw a party". The idea was to provide a place where people could come together to share and discuss their musical interests. It is akin to throwing an online party.

As we can see, this was put together by @caleb-marvel. This is use the threadcast tag, meaning it shows up on the top of the front page. It is a strong use case for the feature as we will see.

Here is what it basically looks like:

Pretty neat idea.

A few of us jumped on board to help support the cause. In spite of a small number of users, the results, thus far, are outstanding.

Here is what the numbers look like on the threadcast for 2/6/24:

There were 562 comments along with 355 page views. Of course, without context, what does that mean?

To draw a comparison, let us look at the threadcast from the weekly AMA. Here is what those numbers look like:

The Party outpaced the AMA.

This is very impressive considering it was only the 4th time this was set up. It is a very new initiative.

We also have to point out this is only an accounting of the top line page views. There are a bunch of Threads underneath that also have clicks associated with them. It is likely this one threadcast was responsible for over 1,000 page views on the day.

We are dealing with an important concept when it comes to lifetime page views. A lot of what was posted in the "party" were songs from Music on Leo. That means we are repurposing those older threads and getting them some activity.

This is the value of threads that are captured and have repeat appeal to them. Music certainly fills that void.

Page Views = Ad Revenue= LEO Purchased

Each page view has a certain amount tied to it. We know this since the counter shows approximately what the total LEO to be purchased, based upon current pricing.

A project like the Music Party is a great way to get people dropping in and adding content. It is a simple way to stimulate engagement in a way that is light and most can participate.

It also has the potential to create a lot of page views.

As stated, this was only started over the weekend. What happens if we see this jump to 1,000 page views throughout the day? How would that compare? How about 1,500? 2,000?

Considering the entire site normally averages around 13K-15K per day, this is a significant amount.

Naturally, we have to keep in mind this is child's play. There are sites that get thousands of comments on a single post, let alone page views. Look at some of the numbers on Disqus, which is a comment application that many websites utilize.

When we say we are early, it is certainly the case.

We all have the ability to "buy" LEO through our activity. If we are generating page views each time we click on something, and that brings in ad revenue, which is then used to buy LEO, aren't we effectively buying LEO through our activity?

The answer is affirmative.

According to the counter, the Music Party is in line to buy 9.64 LEO through the money generated. This is part of the overall pool which will be purchased over the course of the next month.

These are the types of initiatives that we need on Leo. It is time for people to start thinking in terms of page views and ways to generate more of them.

We have the ability to "print our own return".

It all started like an ordinary event, I was just thinking on a way to make people have fun inLeo as they thread, so my mind flashed to some extent I do host on TikTok. I said to myself, is people going to like if? Aren't they gonna turn it down? But when I started, @taskmaster4450le and @coyotelation came into the party and gave me some encouragement 😊😊. And we saw the need of running the event throughout the week 🥂🥂🥂. Thanks to you all for making my dream come to reality 🙏🏽🙏🏽.

It is a way to provide users with more choices and activities.

It's encouraging to see initiatives like the Music Party contributing to the growth of Leo by strategically leveraging resources to increase page views and generate returns. This proactive mindset sets a positive precedent for community driven efforts within the platform.
