Playlists on LeoThreads: Build Them As A Leo Use Case

This was something that was experimented with. Now we are starting to see how things are unfolding and this can work.

Here is the bottom line:

We are now constructing playlists on LeoThreads.

One of the advantages we are seeing is the versatility that is developing. This means that tags, when used properly can be very powerful.

So let us take a look at how Playlists are now appearing on LeoThreads.

Search And Playlists

We start with search as we can see here.

We are given a few choices. When we click on playlist, this is what we see:

We are using the #playlist tag for the ones that were started.

Here we see a playlist started by @tokenizedsociety.

He created one that contained a mixture of classic rock songs.

There are others that were built.

Here is one for #ozzy:

Here is another for the band #styx:

Listening To Music On LeoThreads

When going into the Playlist, we simply click on a song. As we can see these are YouTube videos embedded into threads.

Now we can listen to the song the same as if we are on YouTube. This effectively turns Leothreads into a front end for the videos posted. This could actually apply to any videos that are of interest.

I have not tried to set up a playlist with Spotify songs. That might be worth some experimentation if someone wants to give it a shot.

Over time, the goal is to get thousands of songs "on LeoThreads". Obviously, this is not stored on the blockchain so we are just creating a player. By setting up Playlists, others can listen also.

What Is The Point?

Some might be wondering why do this?

The answer is simple: we need to turn LeoThreads into a resource center. That means there is a reason for people to return. Playlists are ideal for this.

There is another factor: pageviews.

We were told there is an article coming up about the LeoAds program. While we do not know the details, we were told how pageviews are important. The counter on threads is vital. Playlists are a way to get more pageviews simply by returning to listen to some music.

Here is one that was set up a week ago.

We can clearly see there are 81 pageviews on this Playlist (thread). While that is not setting the world on fire, what will it look like in a year? Could this be 3K-5K?

Of course, what happens if we have 100 Playlists. If we get people making ones of their favorite music, we can have them from all over the world. This is could help the numbers a great deal.

We know the number of views a YouTube video can get. These number in the millions. If LeoThreads can parlay some of these playlists into thousands, that will be a huge win.

Keep in mind, by opening the song thread, that is another click at that level.

Here is where we can easily build a resource center on LeoThreads, one where people can return periodically and listen to what they like.

It's a great use case and also something really fun to do!

How many have you done?

This is something I might actually try and figure out how to start doing :-)

It is worth it. Something we all can do. It is not difficult and adds value. Over time, we can build databases with thousands of songs/videos.

Do you happen to know why only every other reply on the playlists has a video and the others are just links? I assume it was not planned that way, but you know about assumptions.

That's a very interesting use of Threads, with a high added value over time, I believe. Well done thinking about it, you guys!

It just takes some creativity.

I love this idea. Maybe I'll try putting together a prog rock list. Just got to figure out how threads works. Do i just do a top thread and then keep relying to it?
Nice Styx playlist BTW. awesome band right there 👍

Exactly. You create the top thread with Playlist tag and then post it. After that reply with the youtube (or Spotify) song in your playlist. Maybe mentioned what it is like tag classicrock or whatever.

Also I use the song tag for each song I post to get it trending plus for search.

Styx is terrific I agree.
