Sam Bankman-Fried will not face a second trial
In a letter filed on Friday night in federal court in Manhattan, United States prosecutors said they are not planning to conduct a second trial against Sam Bankman-Fried.
Allegedly the "strong public interest" in a prompt resolution of their case against the 31-year-old former billionaire outweighed the benefits of a second trial.

Pseudonymous analyst Bluntz told their 234,000 followers on the social media platform X that a bullish divergence just flashed on the four-hour chart of Injective (INJ).
If it was not for the fact that the trader accurately predicted in 2018 the market bottom for BTC we might not want to take notice.

Hackers have rung in the new year with the way they were doing things last year as they have appeared to stung a massive $81.7 million hack targeting Orbit Chain’s bridging service.
According to data from blockchain analytics platform Arkham Intelligence, the hackers appear to have made off with a total of $81.68 million in ill-gotten funds.
An interesting point of note is that the Orbit Chain protocol is understood to have strong links to the Klaytn network (KLAY) a modular layer-1 blockchain, so beware if you have been using Orbit to bridge to KLAY.

No real shock there really, but what may be more interesting is that Optimism and Starknet have emerged as key players in on-chain crypto gaming infrastructure.
The collective market capitalization of 183 gaming projects has demonstrated relative stability, fluctuating between $4 billion and $7 billion throughout the year.
With potentially 2024 seeing a bull run will we see a return to the boom of gamefi?
