If you are familiar with the Hive ecosystem, then you're no rookie to staking tokens! Well, that long-anticipated staking function for Hash Kings is here!
The devs over at @hashkings have already brought us a super chill and fun play2earn game that so many have come to enjoy. I myself have only been in HK for about 2 months, so BUDS staking was the 1st big expansion of sorts for me, for this game. They had a minor hiccup at launch and were quick to recognize it, fix it, and re-launch.
When you open Hash Kings you will notice a new button on the bottom menu! STAKING!

Once you are in, you see the new Staking page with the total amount of BUBS staked from all players and the number of rewards distributed.
You may be wondering how the new BUDS staking works. Will this make BUDS an inflationary token? How am I rewarded? Lemme break it down for a ya!
Instead of using BUDS to make more BUDS, the devs will be using every other token that comes into the Hash Kinds ecosystem(via buys of seeds, land, packs, etc) and swap them for HIVE and send them to the staking rewards account which will use 1/100 part of the HIVE calculated in a daily basis to buy BUDS from the market.
Once a player stakes their BUDS on the site, they will receive a new token called BUDSX that initially will have a ratio of 1 BUDSX to 1 BUDS. Initially...
Yes, this ratio can change!
When more BUDS are added to the staking account, so this ratio will change daily after the rewards account buys BUDS from the market and send them to the staking, and will always increase.
When it comes time that you want unstake the BUDSX are sent back to the contract, and you receive BUDS in return at the actual ratio (initial staked amount + proportion of the rewards)
As an added bonus there is more that BUDS stake holders with be rewarded with! Enter the EXP token. Through drops to BUDS holders, these tokens work the same way the MOTA pool works and is distributed between all holders daily.
This new asset can be freely traded or redeemed, in the store at a 1:1 ratio, for joints to level up you avatars.
