My Week in Review and LPUD for Feb. 15, 2025

Saturday this week happens to fall on a day with two active events, which is always fun, a twofer if you will. Not all of you will be participating in one or both, but I almost always participate in these events myself. I'm referring to Saturday Savers and LEO Power Up Day, #LPUD for short. I usually share a lot of investment tokens in my Saver report and I do tend to make changes weekly and occasionally add or remove one. LEO is one f the tokens I have had on my savers list since last year.

So first up, let's get the LPUD out of the way, I staked just over 150 LEO tokens this morning. The majority of them I have received by publishing using the INLEO platform, but I picked up an extra fifty to get in a nice power up.

Now let's jump into part two of my post today, #saturdaysavers .

Hive Power

My primary goal this year is to reach a total Hive Power of 10,000, at the time I thought it should be relatively easy. Then the price of Hive shot up, making it a bit more difficult, but still a doable task. I have increased my HP by 77 this week and currently have 6,812 staked Hive. I'll likely need to convert more HBD to Hive this year to get myself closer to that 10K line. I'm hoping that this will be a benchmark and then push even higher, we'll see how it goes!

Currently I am 68.1% of the way there! Not too bad for six weeks into the year!

PIMP

This year my secondary goal is to reach 50K staked PIMP and it still feels like a realistic goal. I bought some PIMP this morning and staked it, additionally, I continue to earn from posting and tips as well. As of this morning I have 35,199 PIMP, I am at 70.4% of the final goal. I expect to be picking up some bigger chunks in the near future.

This is the only token that is backed by physical silver here on Hive, so it will always have value.

Leo

It is LEO power up day, after today's power up I have 2,465 total LEO on my way to 5,000 this year. Almost halfway there!

EDSI

My goal this year is to reach 200 EDSI, and this week I picked up four additional tokens. I have just over 110 right now, so 55% completed in the goal. If I pick up a few a week I should make it to the goal relatively easily.

The token has shown steady growth over time, and seems to be a smart investment from my point of view. It offers weekly Hive dividends and curations on your posts which is a nice bonus.

DUO

Now for the best token of them all: DUO. However, since I helped create it, I might be just a little biased! About eight months ago along with @bitcoinman and @bulliontools we created the DUO token to help fill voids in the Hive community. The purpose of the token is to accumulate enough Hive Power to be able to use a portion to support new onboards and help retain them through encouragement and with curations. We currently have about 36,823 HP in the curation account, we are actively onboarding and always looking for more quality onboards who want to see long term growth on their Hive accounts.

Our guest author program is allowing Hive members to earn by posting original content on the duo-curator account. It has been fairly successful so far, allowing guest authors to earn some nice rewards. Please see our latest duo-curator posts for rules and information on how to participate. You can receive half of the earnings from the post plus five DUO tokens, and if you would like we can even pay you out in DUO tokens to build your personal stash. I would love to find more people interested in participating, as it helps them earn and also increase DUO Hive dividends, which have been increasing quarterly.

We also have a new number guessing game in our update posts where you can win some free DUO. Each day you can check out the posts from @duo-curator for a chance to win some tokens! It not uncommon for the jackpot to be above one DUO or even close to two!

DUO takes great pride in taking care of our investors and they receive the lions share of the benefits. Once you have 200 staked tokens you can receive a daily curation on your quality posts and receive daily liquid Hive dividends. Once you stake more than 500 DUO you also can use the DUO tip call to tip someone with some DUO, and in return you get the same amount of DUO in your account. It pays to tip others with DUO!

As a management team we have agreed to only stake around 700 DUO tokens personally, this ensures that the majority of the rewards go out to our investors. We don't even provide curation on our own posts currently, to ensure stronger rewards for our investors.

I currently have just over 1,403 DUO, and just picked up ten more this morning. I do give some out every week in my Sunday giveaway, so I have to repurchase that amount every week! Once this tranche of tokens sells out the price will jump from one Hive to 1.5 Hive each, and there are only 11.8K left. My advice is to buy in early while they are less expensive! Plus you will make money as soon as this batch sells out due to the price increase! The last tranche sold out really fast once it hit 10K remaining, don't say I didn't warn you! All Hive from token purchases is locked into Hive Power and will never be powered down.

CAV

CAV is a token created to help out veterans of military service here on Hive. It doesn't matter what country you served in, only that you are a veteran like myself. For those of us who have served, most of us have persistent disabilities, and not always from physical wounds. Psychological damage can be far worse than the physical scars, I personally suffer from PTSD in great part due to my time in the service. I always like to thank everyone who helps out with veteran's programs.

This token does pay out a daily liquid Hive dividend to holders, and proceeds will go towards helping veterans. I bought three more this week bringing my total CAV to 10 tokens. I'm going to try to add a few a week to keep building up my personal stack of these and improve my daily liquid Hive dividends! Plus I know that as more of these are sold we will finally be able to see veterans receiving help her in our Hive ecosystem. Thanks to @enginewitty for putting this program together!

DBOND and DAB

I'm still enjoying watching my DBOND and DAB tokens grow. It's a nice program that builds up over time earning you more money with essentially no effort. Staked DBOND tokens pay out DAB tokens, which you can stake to get paid out more DBOND tokens. Alternatively, you can leave DAB unstaked to receive liquid Hive instead. These are proving to be a great investment! My current DBOND balance is 275 and DAB balance is 54. Just like they say in their motto, getting rich slowly! You can buy both DBOND and DAB on Hive-Engine if you want to up your earnings, but at this point I'm just letting things build up organically.

RUG

Many people haven't invested in this one due to it's name. It's actually a nice token, all proceeds are taken off of Hive to earn rewards in liquidity pools and then return profits to Hive and 75 percent is paid out to token holders in the form of DBOND. I bought two more this week, and will continue to do so. I only have four of these, the program started just about the time DUO was launching so I spent almost all my extra funds helping to creating DUO. Now, I'm slowly trying to buy my way into this one as well.

SIM

This is the governance token for the dCity game which I do play. You can receive daily liquid Hive dividends for holding this token once you have a certain quantity. I'm not sure what the current minimum is, but you can check for yourself on Discord. I currently have just over one million of these and will continue to hold them. I also receive some daily SIM from my participation in the game!

POB

Proof of Brain token is one that I earn from my posts I am staking and then delegating them to pob.voter. In return once a week I receive a liquid Hive dividend from them, which is always welcome. I currently have delegated out 1,355 POB tokens, and increase of 19 earned by just posting. I'm not buying any of these, it's all organic. It's not bad idea for everyone to be doing this if you like dividends.

BBH and BBHO

These are great tokens started by @bradleyarrow . BBH is a tipping token which allows daily tips depending on how many you hold, I have over 50K now which gives me 50 daily tips to give which I never manage to exhaust. Plus, I receive so many BBH tips over the week that I am able to give out one hundred every week in my Sunday giveaway. Another point that is a nice benefit is the Saturday drip of tokens you receive by just holding at least ten BBH. The more you hold, the more variety and amount of tokens you can receive!

BBHO is a nice token that pays out weekly payouts of various tokens if you stake your BBHO, even DUO if you hold over 2,000 (which I do!) I currently have 2,734 staked BBHO. I thing I'm up about fifty on the week! I'm planning on having at least 5K stacked up by year's end of this token. One thing I've noticed is that it seems to be maintaining or gaining value on a weekly basis, which is important in any investment!

Silver

I have been a avid coin collector since I was a kid which slowly evolved into stacking silver ang gold. It is a great way to build wealth as these precious metals will always have value. I'm thinking gold will surpass $3,000 per Troy ounce this year, and silver may also kick into high gear. This week as the charts shows there was a strong move upward that lost momentum back to $32 per Troy ounce. That's up quite a bit over the price form just one year ago.

Each week I like to share an inexpensive or just plain fun way to invest in silver. This week is a bit of both! This Star Wars Grogu coin from Niue is on sale at APMEX for $37.40 each at the moment. It's a 38% discount off the normal premium for a nice Star Wars themed coin. I'll add in a link to check it out in my references below. Grogu has quickly become one of the favorite characters from the new Star Wars series!
