At work, can read threadcast but cannot watch or listen.

I have seen Threadcasts with good information on the Threads. You could still find some important information/discussions.

I see you two now!!!

I just see the D symbol on the screen right now, with ambient music.

pretty awesome this is a thread cast on inleo. Fun times to be on this chain.

Now I think about it, there are less than 20 days left of the year... Huh?

Yea, we know he was gonna hit the ground running at the very first time though.

Wait, TRUMP launched his Crypto? What is it called?

He did like 4 different NFT collections

What a way to make use of your reputation!

Oh, will watch later. إن شاء الله

Please if TRUMP has his own coin launched, we would wanna know it's name though.

Look at his NFTs

Please can you list few of it for me

Thank you boss.

Didnt get the notification on time. Anyways am here now.

Hey I just joined from the X Livestream

So a threadcast is like a live chatroom?

Yup, it is.

Yes, like the live chat on YouTube

Thanks for participating!

should also be reminded to release Ross Ulbricht

Here's the YouTube video, will post the X one when it goes live

Yes, Roger is awesome and deserves our support

okay. Let’s listen to this.

I am a newbie when it comes to Dash. Need to do my own research.

For sure, feel free to ask anything. This stream will be focusing more on Roger Ver's case though.

I did not know it was 109 year sentence. This is bitter vengeance and an utter misuse of power. The only good long term solution I see is having more Libertarians in the court system. That is hard but it is the only way.

I'm looking forward to see more users join INLEO during these streams.

IIRC Roger Ver was very positive about #dash and he had invested in $DASH. This was many years ago. I do not know if he sold any of his position.

Threadcasts are not promoted on top of INLEO until they have at least 15 comments. It would be great if more users joined us in the comments.

Good to know this threadcast is before the Lion's Den!

Hi, just found this video on my Youtube recommendation, and looked for the Threadcast!

I'm genuinely surprised to hear this. YouTube did something good with recommendations for us!

I was genuinely surprised too... I think it got used to my patterns. !LOLZ

If you arrest a mime...
Do you have to tell them they have the right to remain silent?

PLAY & EARN $DOOM

Wow nice!

Hehe, I guess even in-person talks with your family and friends can feel very slow too 😛.

Totally... At least my mother, brother and two sisters are as fast as me, but with most other people I zone out while talking with them.

My Uncle used to work in a circus as a human cannonball.
They eventually fired him.

Yes exactly, he's 45.

I think it's specified with a number of years, because if the punishment were to be slightly forgiven, a bunch of years will be deducted from it. It's better to deduct from 109, than from imaginary number called "lifetime imprisonment."

I get your point

3. Multiple Crimes

  • When a person is convicted of multiple crimes, courts often impose consecutive sentences, which add up to large numbers. For example, a person convicted of three crimes, each with a 30-year sentence served consecutively, would receive a 90-year sentence.

4. Symbolism and Public Perception

  • High numbers can emphasize the gravity of the crime, serving as a symbolic message of justice and a deterrent for others.
  • For victims and the public, it underscores that the offender is unlikely to reenter society.

5. Legal Systems and Contexts

  • In some legal systems, there might not be a formal "life imprisonment" sentence. Instead, sentences are given in years to ensure the punishment aligns with the law.

6. Avoiding Ambiguity

  • Some jurisdictions calculate "life imprisonment" differently (e.g., 25 years in some places). A high fixed term avoids misinterpretation and ensures the offender remains in prison for an intended duration.

7. Human Rights Considerations

  • In certain countries, assigning excessively high numbers may circumvent prohibitions against sentences like "life without parole" by structuring them in terms of fixed years.

In practice, high-year sentences often function the same as life imprisonment, but the precision allows flexibility for legal, administrative, and societal purposes.

So I asked ChatGPT and it seems I was wrong:

Sentencing criminals to a specific number of years, even when it effectively amounts to life imprisonment, serves several purposes in legal and social contexts:

1. Distinction Between Life Sentences and Fixed Terms

  • Parole Eligibility: In many jurisdictions, a life sentence means the possibility of parole after a specific period, while a fixed term might explicitly exclude parole until the sentence is completed.
  • Appeal and Clemency: Fixed-term sentences allow for clear benchmarks for appeals, clemency, or sentence reductions based on good behavior or changes in law.

2. Precision in Sentencing

  • Judges assign sentences that correspond to the severity of the crime, often based on guidelines or statutory requirements. For example, crimes might carry mandatory minimums or enhancements (e.g., for repeat offenders), resulting in very high numbers.

Thanks for sharing this. It was very insightful.

Someone close I know works in Law... Through her I know how Corrupt it is there, but how it's not as Corrupt as many people think. That's in Libya, though. I can't tell you about other countries.

VISA and Mastercards are using their own Monopoly to limit what can be sold around the world. American standards should never be the only standards!!

The "Digital Gold" narrative has won, We still need Peer-to-Peer Digital Cash

Yeah, that's the problem... I won't mind Fiat and centralized digital payment methods, if they were doing their own job!!!!

And yet they never can.

Theoritcally they could, but I guess 'Humans are gonna human!'

Regardless of what might be anyone's story or background as far as crypto is concerned, once you are patient enough, you will earn enough.

He is a crypto enthusiast and I expect crypto to turn around massively as his reign is maybe gonna see to it.

I think he is gonna face maybe a huge battle cause those against him and his agenda would wanna fight back but regardless he has a strong ground.

Hiring the best lawyers and find a way to settle his debts or taxes is a good proportionate idea but he needs to look at why he would have to go through rigorous law suits.

We should never forget that those who tried their bets to kill off cryptocurrency are the ones that are trying to tax it. These are greedy and power hungry entities.

Agreed

Joel, your bass voice is really cool from my own end.

Haha thanks

Looks like u didn't work on it,it's flowing naturally.

Well I did, I've been doing podcast and such for around 10 years. Since 2017 at least an hour or two every single week. Lots of practice!

Wow, you are a strong man. The dedication is top notch. Lemme give you more from mine. Lolz.

Lolz, the extortion is an upgrade.

I know right.

109 years is practically a life sentence and we are talking about an individual where there is no harm done. Murders and rapists get off with a fraction of Roger Ver's sentence.

Which shows you the government's priorities.

this is just a sad unfortunate story 🤦

The worst part is that there is little we can do about it. I still think we should do whatever we can to make the governments more aligned with Libertarian values.

yes that point is fact, we must do what we can for that to happen, it's the best way forward

Since there are much gain the crypto space and he is making it real big, why would he not pay his taxes or is he overcharged?

I have to go now, and when I'll be back I'll go to Task's Lion's Den! See you there.

For @thedessertlinux and the others, Have a Nice day!~

When alleged tax evasion face far more serious enforcement than this violent madness says everything you need to know about the priorities of these people.

Anarcho Tyranny is Real

If your principles depend on who is supporting your ideology (or in this case $BTC investment), then you don't really have any principles.

BTC was infiltrated by the time it was 2017 when I started getting into cryptosphere.

Yea, lack of privacy in Bitcoin is causing a lot of problems.

Unfortunately we are a long way away from abolishing the IRS. Elon and Vivek may abolish some smaller cancerous institutions. I don't expect DOGE to do anything to stop the tyranny of IRS, FED and Military Industrial Complex.

I am a multichain maximalist and I consider @mayaprotocol and THORChain are a very important part of the puzzle. We should all use different crypto with many uses and swap them around. #dash and INLEO is a perfect example.

Yes absolutely.

Sorry Trump is not a felon.
No sentencing was done.
You are not a felon until you are sentenced and most of the time not until your appeals are done.

this is designed so if you are railroaded for their is corrupt judges etc...
You get the chance for appeals.

I know how much you care about freedom and stating Trump is a felon is just a straight up falsehood and underscores the subtly of our system of checks and balance.

Convicted, not yet sentenced.

actually that is not how the legal system works.
You need to be very careful how you use words.

He is not a convict until sentencing.

This is super important as the country has a history of innocent people being railroaded in courts since the founding.

We need to make sure everyone gets treated fairly and misinterpreting this point is not good if we are trying to more forward as a species and society.

my issue with this is the following:

take Trump out of it.
but a regualr citizen in and the jury finds them guilty and before sentencing you find fault with getting a fair trial.

For what ever reason. If that person is a convict.
This affects their jobs, family and ability to make money.

If six months later you find out the judge is corrupt. (this does happen) police planted evidence etc...

Now this convict is found innocent.
Their life is still ruined as the community will always see them as a convict.

This affects regular people everyday in.
I have seen Paramedics (who save lifes) lost a job over this but be innocent.

We have to be careful with the state if we want to be free.

Physical books and physical media are extremely important. Blue-ray is getting sunset and this may come towards physical books by using the expense excuse for printing physical books.

Haha no. Ver is a scammer and a lowlife.
PS.- He is the only one that begs everyone to call him "Bitcoin Jesus", noone else does, don't fall for it rofl.
