Up until now, Hive Punks was only able to show the last 24 hours of trades on the market page. This was a limitation of the Hive Engine API as it only stores the last 24 hours of trades.
I've been wanting to launch a new version that includes all trades, but due to other issues with the Hive Engine API, I was unable to get the data required to populate the market history in the past.
After explaining the issue to @eonwarped and @thecryptomanacer, they were able to make a quick fix to the Hive Engine nftmarket contract to include the needed data. This change also benefits other projects that use the nftmarket contract and want to pull past history accurately.
Now that I am able to pull the past history accurately, I created a process that looks over the last 2 months of trades and populated a database with the appropriate details.
This process also monitors the Hive Engine chain for new market orders and will update the database which will then be reflected on the market history page.
Right now there are some things I still have to deal with which requires manually watching over the new ops, I'm hoping another change can be made to the Hive Engine nftmarket contract to include market fee and agent fee data so I can maintain market and agent fee history as well so I can easily report to third parties their agent fees.
You can view Hive Punks Market History 2.0 here.
This change allows me to provide more statistics on market sales like average price for specific rarities, individual seller and buyer total and average sale, individual punk market history, affiliate sales, and more.
Currently the market history will paginate results 50 at a time. I am still working on some other improvements and integration of this new data.
After I finish polishing up the new Market History backend, the next thing I want to work on is getting Auctions live. The functionality is done, and they are supported, it is just polishing the UI to work well on mobile.
There have been 1,292 market sales as well many others off market. I know of two sales for around $24,000 as well as many in the $1,000-$10,000 range.
