Have you observed that so many people pretend to be wealthy when they are not? Anyway, this isn't a one-sided situation as they exist wealthy people who also pretend to be poor. One important thing to note is, both mentioned situations affect the pretender in a different way. while the wealthy person pretends to save his money, the poor person spends a lot more to maintain his fake reputation.

Yeah, some reasons why people pretend to be wealthy are quite understandable because wealth attracts people. There's a saying that "no one rolls with you when you are f**ked. The process of maintaining this fake reputation can only sink one deeper into the mess. Others also do this because they desire to be wealthy but is this really the right step to wealth?

It is also true that people treat you differently when you appear to be wealthy,
but critically thinking of this, one can actually appear to be wealthy without having to break the bank. Reverting to reality, while struggling to look wealthy, it is important to know that appearance alone can not put money in the pocket. The worst set of people is the lazy ones who would rather choose to appear wealthy than put in the required effort to be wealthy.

We live in a society where wealth is a huge factor in terms of social standings. However, pretending to be wealthy can have the benefit of making people want to befriend you, have you as a partner, or even do business with you, but while doing the greatest challenge you will face is the fact that you have a reputation to maintain, one which is likely not going to be friendly.

There is a better way out of this situation. wealth at times depends on our definition of it. Being wealthy can be as a result of the abundance of money, material possessions, or being content with what you have. In a previous post, I made on another platform, I pointed out that the only competition that should exist in someone's life should be between their past and their present. This is because being conscious of your past enables you to make a good decision in the present which will greatly impact the future.

In conclusion, it is foolishness to acquire liabilities just to match up with a class far above your standard. Doing this will only worsen the poor situation in which you are in already. So, it's better to be contented with the little you have, then work towards achieving bigger success with sincerity, being exactly who you are meant to be.

I see a lot of people spending the last of their hard earned money just to impress other people. I used to be one of those persons.

But we can't just blame them. In my case, that is what I use to see when growing up. I even heard stories of people spending their food money just to look good.

When given the chance, I try to share my thoughts about wealth on to other people. The only problem I mostly encounter is resistance - their previous "mind conditioning" is too strong to even consider what I am sharing them.

And their is term, wealth, which is being confused with being rich. For me, being rich doesn't mean you are wealthy and vice versa.

I totally agree with the fact you said that's what you saw while growing up. At least as an adult now, you didn't need anyone to help you understand that such lifestyle isn't the best. Same goes to every other adults, there are some retraining we do to ourselves as adults to ensure our future isn't put at risk by our actions. About taking blame, c'mon you don't expect someone else to take the blame when as an adult you haven't figured out what's good for you. I think you need to use your story to convince more people who haven't realized this fact yet.

Is nice meeting you here.
