Twelve days of Christmas may be shortened a bit
As today it's the 20th of December and I'm only at day 7, I may shorten the series a bit till the 10th day of Christmas to be able to create other content as well. After all, I have 2 silver posts waiting to be written as I received my silver coins from auction and found a coin on the flea market that I want to share with you. And if we're completely honest, the header image looks much better if I stop at 10 so that the middle part can stay as is.
Day 6: Goldbacks!
Today I will share day 6 and 7 of my silver wish list and I have to be honest, one of them is gold but an affordable one, which I found thanks to @bulliontools who wrote about Goldbacks in his own posts.
To me everything gold looks expensive and I honestly don't think I would be able to afford anything gold coin in the near future, especially not because I probably want to have a neat silver collection first, but never say never!
So I went to the Goldback website to check out what these goldbacks are about and the first thing I see there is this:
A little down the page you see this picture where you can see someone holding a Goldback:
For today's pick I'm not going to be picky at all though, reading what Goldback is about can be done on this page but I think this sums it up quite nicely:
This to me makes perfect sense, the first thing I did was check the list of businesses but as I expected, it's solely in the US (for now at least) and only here:
Check the list of businesses accepting Goldback here
Nevertheless, I have added Goldbacks in general to my personal wish list because they look cool and maybe one day, they will be available here too?
Day 7: Australia 2023 Chinese Myths and Legends - Dragon & Koi, 1 oz Silver
This one is one I really want to have because by accident, two out of my first 3 silver coins that I bought were from this collection. I had no clue until I wrote the post about the second coin I received but now that's the case, it only makes sense to add the next one, especially because I like it.
It's even more fun because at the time I ordered them from Hungary and it was more expensive buying them than right now from Spain, where they seem to have them in stock locally as well. I found a website where I can order one for a little less than 31 euros. That's very close to the spot price and therefore I feel excited to order it for that price, I will do this soon, just need the bank to be refilled a bit first.
So even though this coin was on my radar for a while, when I saw a post by @silversaver888 at the time, I will probably have it in my collection quite soon now that I've found it for a better price than I saw it originally. But I will most-likely wait a bit until I order two coins at once to save on shipping costs.
So these were my picks for day 6 and 7, probably three more to come, and if I can find the time I may finish the full twelve days of Christmas. We'll see!
Thanks for stopping by!
