I was told about a Zealy contest last month by @fashtioluwa, but I didn't participate for two reasons: the first was that I was a little busy, and the second was that I thought the contest would be really hard and that it was beyond my level. Oh, how naive was my thinking?
Well, I was convinced this month to participate in the contest by @fashtioluwa and also by @cescajove. These two really convinced me to join the contest and to be sincere, I'm enjoying it so far. For rookies just like me, I see the contest as a game where people participate in challenges and get rewarded with points (XP), just like you can see from the picture below.
From @Leogrowth's post Join October's Marketing Campaign! | $5,000 Prize Pool. I learned that only the top 30 on the leaderboard would be rewarded with mouthwatering rewards. You can see the position I am currently in, and it is actually far from the top. But I still have hope of being among the top 30, because it isn't about how one starts a race but how one ends it (lol, maybe I'm just trying to give myself hope and motivation).
For those who were like me and had heard about the Zealy contest but were reluctant to try it, I really advise you to shrug off the pessimistic view and give it a try. The October challenge is on, and it started yesterday, which is on the 9th of October. Just like you can see in the screenshots below.
So you want to join the Zealy contest, and you are wondering: how do you join? Well, joining the Zealy contest is really quite as simple as ABC. If you are reading this post, it is most likely that you have a Hive account. For those who don't have a Hive, you can create one for free using Ecency.com or through leofinance.io. Proceed to click on this link below; it is my invite link for those who haven't joined Zealy.
Note: To be able to sign up on Zealy, you need to have a Twitter account and a Discord account.
- Once you click on the link, you will see a prompt box like the one below. Click on Connect.
- You will be taken to a new page where you will be asked to log in using Discord or WalletConnect.
- But since it is your first time on Zealy, click on Create an account. Once you do so, you will be taken to an identical page like the one above, but this time you won't be asked to log in but to "continue with Discord or wallet connect."
- Click on Continue with Discord and link your Discord account to your Zealy. Once you've done so, proceed to create an account and follow each instruction accordingly.
Extra guideline: The menu bar is divided into 3 sections: the quests, the leaderboard, and the inbox. The quests are where you see your pending quests; the leaderboard is where all the competitors get ranked according to the XP accumulated; and the inbox is the same as notification, where you are notified if your quest has been reviewed or not.
Don't procrastinate; join the contest now!
