2067 is a really interesting science fiction movie that tackles this topic in a good way.

Everything takes place in the moderately near future. We are in 2067, but the world is beginning to show signs of collapse. Above all, the most vital resource is affected: oxygen.
Corporations have created synthetic oxygen, with the detail that causes diseases and people are dying. The protagonist sees this situation from his more sentimental point of view, seeing the beginning of the consequences on his wife and will look to the future (a journey of 400 years) for a solution. Will it also be to save humanity?
