ChatGPT has been the talk of the town for a couple of days since its launch and for a good reason. I've used it a couple of times to help me with specific projects and I have to admit that it has made the process of writing and coming up with ideas for projects quite seamless.

However, I often write from my heart and not my head so it doesn't take away the leisure of writing from me. Writing on Hive has always been fun for me so I have no need for aid in coming up with content to write about.
For a lot of people though, the advent and steady improvement of AI might be the end of their source of income. I came across this tweet on Twitter that got me worried for a lot of people's future.
Asides from the fact that all this was inevitable, I have to admit that there's so much more work that will be rendered redundant. There have been talks about Product Design becoming redundant as well but the AI-generated screens are not exactly good enough to take over anything yet.
Product Design goes beyond just pixels and while I know there isn't much that can't be figured out by AI, getting them to understand user flows and all that might take a while, however, I don't want to hold my breath on that.
At the moment, a lot of AI-generated art looks a lot better than what many artists can do but so what then happens to people who make a living from their art? Will hand paintings now become entirely useless?
Well, rarity makes things more expensive, sort of like NFTs. Truly great artists will still shine while the less amazing ones will fade out into oblivion. Maybe they'll get other jobs, maybe they won't.
I hate to digress but this makes me worry a little because computers are taking away a lot more people's jobs and the human population continues to skyrocket. What in the world are we doing???
I'm going to try to be a little hopeful because, in a lot of cases, the world recycles. This mostly happens with fashion, but I believe things might turn out alright for a lot of people, maybe.
As we step into a new era of global development, all we can do is keep moving and learning so an emotionless system doesn't take away our livelihood.
