The future of cars everyone told you not to worry about

in #hive-1680425 months ago

Time flew and I completely forgot that I had one last batch of pictures from my experience attending Transylvania Classic Rally 2023.

Despite the word classic that makes it to the title, I mentioned countless times that the organizers included a category of electric/hybrid cars which can take part in the challenge, making it a good way to update people on the cars of the future and what modern vehicles can be bought these days.

Honestly, I've never been a fan of this kind of cars despite their look which is very futuristic and I like in most of the cases, but after walking through tens of classic cars, getting to meet some modern ones definitely feel like a different feeling, yet one that is very welcome.

So based on these thoughts, here are the very last vehicles I managed to shot during the rally, but the edition from 2024 is just around the corner and I'm looking forward to discover what new models they will bring.

Hynday Ioniq 6 (2023)

I know there are lots of Teslas (and I didn't even shoot all of them!) but this brand was the biggest revolution in terms of electric cars from my knowledge and they also managed to get an interior look that is hard to be beaten by any other car currently out there.

They also stirred much controversy with all the incidents of not being able to exit the car if caught in an accident or ran out of battery, but bad promotion is still a promotion, right?

If I'd have to pick an electric car though, then that Hyundai definitely stole my heart which looks flawless to me, isn't it?

I really can’t wait to have a Tesla car
It is part of my dream and I hope to own one someday

Some of them aren't that expensive from what I know. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

The red one is Model 3, not S :-)

They also stirred much controversy with all the incidents of not being able to exit the car if caught in an accident or ran out of battery

Yeah, but that's just because people tend to believe that user manuals are for weaklings ;-)

"To open a front door in the unlikely situation when Model 3 has no power, pull up the manual door release located in front of the window switches."

Fixed it! Thanks for pointing it out :)

Awesome information in there as well! Sadly, many people (including I) have to go with the flow until it's proven the opposite. Those people attending the cars exhibition let others get inside and check out the car properly but they never shared this information which would come in handy to destroy some fake rumors :/

I can understand and I am indeed worried about global warming, but I find EVs to be sort of like smartphones on wheels. They don't have the endearing quality that high performance cars running internal combustion engines have.

To me, there's very little that sets them all apart.

I love the Ioniq 6, looks so cool. Have you seen videos about the Ioniq 5 N? They added simulated gear shifts and sounds so it feels like you’re driving a regular gasoline car. That’s what is going to make electric cars actually cool and fun to drive to me.

Here’s a video in case you are curious to know more details. These two guys are awesome and really do a good job of showing the simulated shifts/sounds

Wow!!! That looks so cool! Had no clue about Ioniq 5 N but I kind of like the models released by Hyundai lately. I am a fan of Elantra as well. I just find so sexy all those sharp angles if it makes sense, lol!

Agreed. That sexy blue color they’re using on the N models is lovely too.

I think the same! :)

I'll be honest, what I liked the most was this:

I loved it too! Such a smart way to bring a bit of colour and funky to the common stuff.
