Happy day to all, I wish you a happy new month. On this episode, I will like to share the biggest financial risk I have taken whilst in school and the lessons I have learnt.
It all happened during my days in the university, the period where student needs money and there was this ponzi scheme called MMM, although my friends where into it and at first I never loved anything where you get to invest your funds and expect a higher rate of return without nothing been done. I termed it as fraudulpent but guess what happened, I had pressing needs then and just had only my school fees on me.
Other needs which includes paying for my house rent and purchasing of books were hanging on my neck. I didn't expect much from home because my dad recently retired from the civil service work during that period and what I had on me was only my school fees and extra feeding money.
I was damn tired of listening to the landlord coming to me everyday when it was only a week to renewal so I decided to put in my school fees hoping all will be well in a couple of week. At least it is better than going into prostitution to earn money.
Friends, I decided to give it a try, guess what? That was the week MMM crashed and everything was like a dream to me. I asked my room mate if it's a dream or it has happened real. I took my phone to check my balance on the dashboard, behold it wasn't accessible any more. I cried but it seems the cry solved no issue as majority of students you find on campus had similar issue too. It is very easy to note them. Once you see any in a sad countenance, it's MMM loss.
What happened at the end
I am glad ever since I came on board campus, I have been attending a regular church close to my home of residence. I decided to approach the pastor informing him about everything that happened.
I was hoping to recieve blames but recieved non. He actually ordered for my school fees and rent to be paid on that same week.
Actually I prayed too because I had no where to get the funds to pay my fees even though I could get the rent.
Right now I have graduated successfully without a hitch and I am grateful to the most high.
My lessons
Do not involve in ponzi schemes which promise to pay high rate of return.
As a student, finance set aside for your fees should not be tempered with because getting it back again may seem to be a burden on people especially if you aren't from a bouyant family.
Well my family is fine and can live up to the standard but what will I say to them I used the school fees for? That was why I choosed the church option.
Thanks so much for reading my lenghty piece, I am wishing all your desires fufilled.
